Hawks stood outside with Tokoyami, he was fiddling with one of the jewels on his outfit. It reminded him of you, precious, and worth a lot to some people. To him your value was worth so much the world couldnt offer, a fond smile spread on his face.

However pain, excruciatingly painful sadness. It overwhelmed him so bad he fell to his knees clutching his chest right above his heart. Tokoyami was at his side in seconds. But before be could say anything it was gone, as if all the pain had suddenly been lifted. .

"Sir?"

"The captain",was all he said

Tokoyami was at the door trying to budge it open,"Theres a barrier, darks shadow.."

"I can't break that, she is a shadow mage but I can sense they're safe",dark shadow concluded as he softly knocked on the barrier

"Sir ",Tokoyamis strained voice made him look up and was shocked to see his usual empty face filled with worry

"What's wrong kid?",he asked as he stood up

"I-I'm aware it's not my place to question your actions or (y/n)'s but I feel incompetent by just watching and doing as told",Tokoyami spoke softly, he could sense what emotions he was trying to convey

Hawks smiled softly and patted his back,"You've got a big heart kid, for now you're a lot of help. Once this is all over you'll meet a lot of friends."

"Yes",Tokoyami replied as he shared a nod with dark shadow.

It was until later that the doors finally opened. He didn't know what to expect when he saw you but you seemed to be glowing. He couldn't quite place his finger on it but you seemed to glow as if all your burdens had been washed off. He didn't question anything he was in no position to do so, he was after all hiding something from you.

"The plans have been finalized, I'll need you two to report to me tomorrow morning early and ready",midnight said

Hawks frowned a remark ready but a glance from you and he settled down. He didn't know what was happening but the sick feeling in his stomache wasn't doing him any good.

"Hawks come with me, Tokoyami midnight would like a word",you spoke up,"Ah dark shadow nice to see you again."

Dark Shadow grumbled a form of reply but he was busy narrowing his eyes at the new women.

"Hawks follow me",the command in your voice had him straightening up

Normally you spoke casually rare pulling out the leader but he did love it when you were strict with him.

"Yes",he replied as be followed you down the hall

You walked fast as you turned from hall to hall, he was surprised as you'd only been there for awhile. However the more away he walked the more the pit in his stomache grew. Until he forced his body to stop

"(Y/n)",his voice came out weak barely a whisper as you remained back turned to him,"I don't like this.."

You remained silent not facing him which only helped in his growing fear. It could be say it was a sixth sense, he felt it the moment you'd both stepped away from the others. His eyes desperately searched for your smile and his ears for your words of reassurance but non came.

"Keigo",you softly spoke as you turned, flashing him a reassuring smile which his eyes eagerly awaited,"Come here."

You opened your arms, logic went out the window as he stepped forward and let himself sink into your embrace. Your scent sending him into a silent moment of euphoria, his wings wrapped around you both creating a form of feathery barrier.

"Keigo you've worked hard, and you've opened up so many new feelings for me",you spoke softly as your hands stroked his gold locks

He only hummed in response loving the soft affection he was receiving, the idea to commit for acts for you to get more affection did cross his mind for a second. He closed his eyes, and burried his neck in the crook of your neck.

"Songbird",he whispered softly into your skin

"You always speak of protecting me and like a coward I hid behind you but I've realized I'm the leader, I need to protect you and everyone else",you spoke your voice becoming weaker,"I need to clean up my mistake, so Keigo be a good birdy and wait for me."

His eyes snapped opened as he stepped back, words ready but you didn't spare a second. His eyes searched your face and cold realization him but it was too late. All he felt was momentary pain and everything went dark.

You'd made up your mind, as you craddled him on your lap. You couldn't lose more people, and starting now you would clean everything up.

"I'm sorry",you whispered to him knowing he couldn't hear you

"Ma'am",a voice spoke behind you as you stood up

"Move him to the room, and don't wake him until I send a signal",you spoke out gritting your jaw

You watched as they carried him to the room you'd originally been given, this time however a barrier surrounded it. You watched as they layed him on the bed. You'd struck him with a sleeping spell, and planned to wake him up once you were far from here. Tokoyami was to be sent to the base, with help of midnights teleportation chimney which was a big deal as not many mages could use that big of a spell.

"I'm surprised you're as calm as you are",midnights voice chimed in as she approached you

"I have no time to be irrational",you replied

Earlier you'd found out about Bakugou and Kirishima of course it sent you into a full blown panick attack and rage. Yet to save them the plan would need you to be calm, turning you headed to the entrance where a horse awaited you.

At first you wanted to hit Keigo, yell at him. But you understood why he'd done it, and for that you needed to hurry.

A horse specifically breed for the desert, mounting it you didn't wait as you set off, knowing every second cost.
