He tenderly watched you sleep, he stroked your face admiring you. The pain of knowing you weren't eternal ate at him every single second. At first your company was mere help to him but now oh god what would he do without you. He'd seen your thoughts, how you didn't believe yourself to be as beautiful or graceful as other women. Yet in his eyes You were the most dazzling one.

His red feathers were swarming the room, leaving not a single crack unchecked. He hated to admit it but he had nightmares constant ones where you were ripped from his side. Seeing how that women clung and held you so close had set him off. He'd never felt the urge to slice someone as in that moment, but for you He'd control himself.

"(Y/n)"he spoke softly

He liked it, your name. The way it sounded rolling off his tongue, the warmth it brought to him. It was just a name but saying it brought him comfort. He grinned as he lowered himself next to your ear.

"Hey, you're my comfort person",he chuckled softly as his smile slowly disappeared,"but am I...yours? I want you to think of me, rely on me, talk to me..do you think I am?"

He asked the hawks that stood perched onto of a chair. It blinked at him making him sigh.

He chuckled, What was he thinking? You were a person capable of doing many things without him. Just how you'd done before meeting him but he couldn't. He didn't want to return to his endless boring days, days without you in them.

He sat on the floor next to your bed, he was going to stay there until you woke up. As he relaxed he found himself touching his neck, and a sense of sickness overcame him. Having that choker on had been the worst thing yet he did it. It made him feel proud he'd overcome a fear.

He closed his eyes, but as he did a slight noise had him on his feet. It sounded close but tbere wasn't anyone around.

"Mr Hawks",a rather familiar voice softly called out

He turned and finally his eyes settled on a bowl of water. As he approached it to his surprise instead of his reflection he saw a boy with messy green hair staring back at him.

"Kid?!",he exclaimed but was quick to lower his tone,"How? Why?"

"I don't have much time as my mana is running low. Where's the captain?",Midoriya asked

"Resting",he replied

"Damn",the boy muttered but sighed,"I've got urgent news about our last move."

"Alright what happened?",hawks asked but be felt a dreadful feeling come over him when he saw the way the boys face sunk

"Kirishima and Kacchan have been taken hostage not to their main base but they're still in the city. Todoroki and I were able to win our fight, however..",he trailed off

"Speak kid",Hawks urged, he'd seen the care and bond you had with them and he was aware how this could affect you

"We had a few casualties not enough to hold us back. I've received a secret message from Kirishima, they seem to be fine but out of the two from what he claims Kacchan is going through a lot..",the boys voice cracked ever so slightly

It then dawned on Keigo, they'd taken them back just like when you'd rescued them. Oh god, he felt sick. He turned to face you unsure of his next move. Knowing you, you'd want to stop and return for them but he couldn't allow it. This mission depended on time and time wasn't a luxury you could afford.

"Welll refrain from telling captain, she'll want to go back for them"bhe gritted out

Midoriya frowned but seemed to understand what he was getting at as he didn't protest. He simply nodded.

"But before you go I need a question answered...is stopping death possible?"

The answer he dread the most was the one he received.

"No."

When you finally woke up it was evening due to the fact the sun was beginning to go down. You sat up and to your surprise you were alone. Yet again you'd been asleep for what seemed awhile, it was natural he'd leave the room for errands.

You massaged your throbbing head, as you motioned for the hawk to perched itself on your arm. A part of you was nervous as Aizawa hadn't sent a letter again, he'd usually notify you about everything. Yet again things were chaotic and communicating through a bird could go wrong.

The doors handle began to move making you turn as you narrowed your eyes. You relaxed however when a familiar red eyed man walked in, a tray of food in his hands.

"Morning songbird",he chirped as he made his way to your side

"Morning, looks like it'll be night",you chuckled as he placed the tray over your lap

"I made you some food",he said softly as he tenderly touched your cheek

"Hmm?",you hummed questioningly,"They are willing to bring it here for you."

"True but regardless I wanted to know you ate something that didn't have poison, don't worry I had my feathers placed everywhere the slightest movement from the door would've informed me, nobody would get to you",he said a slight tone of possesiveness to his voice

"Poison won't kill me easily",you teased

His hand lifted your chin slightly to meet his gaze, it was soft caring so much love yet it held you captive.

"You're not allowed to die",it sounded simple yet his tone had your skin crawling

You shifted on the bed trying to put aside the sudden tension as you looked at the meal. It was a simple meal consisting of smashed patatoes and gravy, next to it some meat which smelled of chicken. As you began eating he informed you of how Tokoyami was doing as well of the movements of the others inside the place.

"Has anyone tried to contact us?", you asked as you took a sip of the warm tea he'd given you

He sat next to the bed his back to you, he was silent so you asked again.

"Has anyone tried to contact us?"

This time he replied,"No."

You sighed but trusted his word,"thanks."
