"That one." Jungkook said pointing to a fancy gift shop. I had a wicked idea forming inside my stupid brain and something inside me made me think that it would work. I might be super wrong. But I had to give it a shot for Jungkook.

"Okay wait." I said and headed towards the shop. My heart was beating faster. Nothing ever goes according to my plan but the optimistic side of me was telling me to go off.

"Adi wait.... Wait." He kept calling behind me but soon his voice became fainter as I approached the shop.

I went inside the shop. The store was so exquisitely beautiful with different antique products. My eyes were all over the place that I almost forgot for what I came for.

"Chogiyo?" Someone said beside me. "Eotteohge dowa deolilkkayo?"

I turned to see a young man probably early 20s in an expensive suit. My eyes darted across his face. His face wasn't fimiliar to Jungkook tho but then I realized that he clearly said that the man infront of me was his step son. My gaze turned apologetic.
"Sorry I don't understand Korean."

"Oh it's okay." He smiled and continued in English. "How can I help you?"

My eyes lit up. "I'm looking for a gift." I studied his neutral face before saying. "For my dad."

"Sure. Follow me." He said and I went after him. He took me to a place where all sorts of pendant, watches bow ties were there. I was amazed by the varieties and the exquisite colour combination.

"You can select anything from here ma'am." He said. I cringed inside with the "ma'am" thing. To be honest I was never comfortable with someone older calling me with honorifics.

"It's really confusing." I said as I pretended to check out the watch section. "Tell me if you had to give something to your dad what would you prefer?"

He almost stopped for a good second. He was about to say something but I stopped him.
"You see my dad doesn't talk to me anymore. He is really angry with me for something I did in the past and is still kind of bitter about it." I smiled sadly at him. "I just lost touch and it feels like forever since I last had a conversation with him." My heart almost ached at the thought.

I shook aside my thoughts and smiled at him. "Those people are lucky enough who has their parents with them. Some people aren't just grateful enough. We realise everything when it's...." I paused for a while letting my words reflect across his beautiful face. "Too late."

His eyes never left mine. It was as if he was having an internal battle with himself. Trying to convince himself against or in favor of something. Guess I'll never know. I don't know why I said what I said. I originally thought of pulling some sort of prank so that Jungkook and his son can come face to face but I didn't intend it to go this way.

He shook his head and let out a gentle smile. "You're right." He chuckled sadly. "You're right." He whispered again. I wanted to open my mouth to say something but I couldn't. We stayed there staring at each other for sometime when I finally realized I should get going. "I'll just see around ok Mr. Jeahyun?"

He smiled hesitantly and nodded but then snapped his head at me. "Wait how do you...."
I didn't get what he was implying then suddenly realized. "Oh." I smiled and pointed at his nametag. He looked down and let out an embarrassing laugh.

I started walking towards the other alley. He was still there thinking something. I turned around to find him transfixed at that point where I left him.

Without him noticing I exited the store and walked towards where Jungkook was hiding. He was sitting on a bench. His back facing me.

"Boo!" I said scaring him.
