I stuck my ear to the door. I couldn't hear anything though. I furrowed my brows and tried to listen more carefully. I heard the front door shut softly.
After a few moments I heard Jungkook knocking my door. "Come out."
I opened the door and looked around. "What happened?"
"Nothing." He said. His face devoid of any emotions. "Before I could open the door he just left."
"Left?" I questioned him. Why did he even come here just to leave. I furrowed my eyebrows.
"Leave it. Come on let's make something to eat." He said getting cheerful all of a sudden but his smile didn't reach his eyes.
He was about to head to the kitchen when I suddenly grabbed his arm and made him turn around.
"Jk?" I asked him softly. "Please don't pressurize yourself. If you're sad then just let it be. You don't need to pretend to be happy when you're not. Someday you'll be truly happy without pretending at all."
His body stiffened at the same time as mine. What the heck just happened. He looked just as confused as I was.
"Where did I go wrong Adi?" He asked me softly. His eyes glistened against the dark evening hue. "What was my fault?"
He looked so vulnerable at that moment that I couldn't help but hug him. He stiffened but then reluctantly hugged me back. I rubbed his back in circles to make him calm. He took a deep breath and hugged me tighter. I don't know how long we were like that but then he broke the hug and smiled sadly. "Thank you. I needed that."
"Don't mention." I said. "I'll make sure that you're happy Jungkook. Trust me."
He tilted his head on his left and let out an adorable chuckle. "Will you?"
"Ofcourse Jk." I smiled. "I promise you."

The next day me and Jungkook were heading towards the convenient store to buy some groceries.
"Do you want something specifically?" He asked me as we entered the store.
"No not really." I said nonchalantly. My eyes hovering around the store. I saw such things only in Korean mukbang channels on YouTube.
We took a few items for the stew that we were going to make for dinner including kimchi, soy sauce and fish sauce. I only tried the Korean Noddles back in India but I really didn't enjoy it because of the spice so hopefully it would be more bearable.
"You should really eat up." He said putting a few more ramen noodles on the basket.
"It's fine Jk." I said looking around the aisle. Suddenly my eyesight noticed the all fimiliar back of Jaehyun. Jungkook's back was facing him so he didn't really see him. I suddenly had another wicked idea and decided to put it to use.
"Can I look around?" I asked no almost pleaded him.
He raised an eyebrow. "Sure... But Don't get lost okay?"
"K." I hurriedly went after Jaehyun. The aisle where he was empty.
Maybe he's paying right now.
I went to the cashier and saw that he was leaving. I had no choice but to follow him. I had no idea what I was doing but the adrenaline of doing something like this was driving me over the edge. It almost felt like I was in a movie.
I followed him around the block and see him entering the building. Oh he didn't live that far away from the store. Good. I followed him inside. When I reached the elevator there was literally no sign of him. Wait. Where did he go? I looked around. He vanished as if he wasn't even there in the first place. What do I do now? I scratched the top of my head.
