B-Guess what Juggie, I'm getting married Reggie asked me to marry him and we're going to have children straight away.
    Betty said to the love of her life. That's right she was getting married and not to Jughead.
Although let's explain what happened leading up to these events. After Betty and Jughead broke up they both ignored each other for the rest of the school year, for both of them it was very painful and they often felt something was missing. Betty's mother survived although after the crash she practically became mad she would have visions and would often get up in the middle of the night take her steel pot and march around like a soldier. Alice now was on bed rest most of the day, Christopher always would look after her as he really did love her there was no denying that although he abandoned Minnie in the process. Betty did end up building her cottage and it was very, very impressive.
The cottage

Betty became a school teacher for English, in Riverdale's merged school.
(A/N I don't know if a merged school is actually a thing but it means elementary, middle and high school mixed together.)
    Betty was the Miss. Honey of the school she was the nicest teacher and never shouted. She soon found out that Jughead was the (new) headteacher there and over the year they had worked together had become best friends. There were no feelings left from the relationship, that they knew of, and they had both tried to move on. Betty has successfully moved on but we'll get into that.
       She had also taken Millie under her wing by letting her live in the cottage,they both had a very strong bond almost like mother and daughter bond. Millie had let the odd 'Mommy' slip but was soon corrected by Betty as she didn't want Millie to forget her mother, though she already had. Alice was on her last strike she sometimes would run into the middle of the street at night and start yelling, so the sheriff said she would go into a home if she did it one more time.
Betty had found herself a fiancé, Reggie, they met in the staff room as he taught Phys Ed. He was sweet and incredibly charming she really did love him, he just didn't love her. All of the other students were aware of the constant flirting between Mr.Mantle and Miss.Brown but they didn't want to break Miss. Smith as they all loved her. Miss. Brown,or Valerie, was a goddess and Betty knew this she was a music teacher and a beautiful singer, she was the siren of the school. A lot of the students have a crush on Miss. Brown but most have a crush on Betty as she is just heavenly but Reggie didn't see that as he was sleeping with Valerie on the side, again the older students knew about this but wouldn't dare tell.
Soon after these rumours started, Reggie decided to propose and so he did and this is how it went.
Flashback
It was a bright,sunny morning and Betty and Reggie were walking along the beach hand in hand whispering sweet nothings into each other's ears. They approached some rocky cliffs and there was a beautiful arch made of  woven oak vines covered in orchids,Betty's least favourite flower,and fairy lights. Betty knew what was happening and tears came to her eyes, she had been waiting for it since she was a little girl. Everything felt perfect Betty didn't have a worry in the world, she was bursting with excitement. They made is under the arch way and he got down on one knee and took out a diamond ring it was rose gold and the diamond was a small circle on the top. The diamond was reflecting off the sunlight and it shone in Betty's deep green eyes.
R-Will you marry me Betts?
Bang! Moment ruined, he used a nickname, the nickname. Betty immediately thought about her first love and how much this would change her life, there was no going back after this. She shakes the thought away and slowly but surely nods her head and he kisses her with much passion and love.
End of flashback
Betty was finally happy, she was in love and everything felt as if it was coming together but really everything was starting to fall apart.
