Veronica woke up in Jughead arms on her cream silk bed. She hadn't quite realised the extent of what she had done yet until she noticed she had no clothes on and neither did Jughead. Last nights events came rushing back to her causing he head to feel light and her to become dizzy. She carefully got up not to wake up Jughead and gathered her clothes from around the room and slid them on herself. She then went out side her room into the vast living/dining room which had several oil paintings of her and her family. Her fathers portrait was hung over the fireplaces showing him as head of the house which he was. He had a very high authority and had even once hit Veronica across the cheek but that was a while before. She went into the kitchen and took out two croissants with tea. She took the china teapot to the dining room and put it in the middle of the table as well as the croisants. Next she put out some jams and jelly's for Jughead to pick out for his croissant. He soon came out in his clothes from yesterday and took a seat looking rather uncomfortable. Veronica wasn't sure if he was in pain or because of the very uncomfortable situation but it was both.
J-Hey.
He quietly says almost questioning himself. Veronica smiled slightly, she knew what she did was very wrong and they both used each other as rebounds.
J-I'm sorry about last night I kinda rebounded off Betty with you but at the same time me and Betty aren't actually broken up.
Her jaw dropped at that sentence and her eyes started to become misty, she couldn't believe she had done that to Betty she thought they had broken up. She didn't want to hurt Betty or anyone for that matter no girl deserves that.
V-You're still dating Betty?!
She questioned, he kept his head down but slightly nodded and Veronica scoffed and folded her arms. She felt so ashamed of herself she really thought they had broken up.
V-Why didn't you tell me?
J-I was caught up in the moment, I'm sorry. I just can't believe I did that to Betty she doesn't deserve this.
Veronica paces around the room trying to process what she had just done and noticed something on the black marble kitchen counter. She walked towards it and picked it up with her violently shaking hands and read the title.
"Mother of 2 Alice Smith-Harris injured in car crash"
Veronica found herself reading the name of the woman over and over again, the name seemed familiar. Then she looked at the photo below, it was a picture of a middle aged woman with curled blonde hair smiling in what looked like the living room of a family home. Soon Veronica connected the names of Smith and Betty and came up with of course Betty Smith. She then registered what Jughead had just said and Betty really, really didn't deserve this. She turned around slowly looking down at the paper.
V-No Jughead she really doesn't deserve this.
He looks up from his croissant and looks at her worried expression with the newspaper in her hand.
J-What's that?
V-Betty's mom was in a-a crash.
She stuttered and Jughead froze he had just hurt Betty even more out of spite because he was angry with her. She didn't want a break for no reason she wanted to push him away because she was sad. Jughead suddenly become so distressed and so angry he couldn't hear anything or more like everything had become ringing, he put his hands on his ears and started shaking his head rapidly. He had just broken his own heart everything could have been sorted but he was screwed.
V-You've got to tell her about what happened or I will.
J-I'm not telling her.
V-Well I'm going to.
She cried and ran out of the door of the Pembroke but not before getting her long black trench coat to cover her messy self.
She eventually made her way to Elm Street and stopped when she saw the trade mark red door of the Smith household. Veronica warily walked to the door her heals clacking against the concrete path, she stepped on the little step and hesitantly knocked the door. Soon a tall man answered the door in a navy suit and a brown briefcase that had the initials 'C.H' it gold on the front.
V-Good morning sir, may I talk to your daughter Betty?
He squinted his eyes at her and she immediately felt the intensity of his brown eyes staring down at her. He checked his watch which was gold and had a brown leather strap.
C-Why it's seven in the morning?!
He huffed in annoyance and Veronica of course understood why he was being so rude. His wife had just been in an accident but really Christopher had always been that way.
V-I just need to please?
She begged,he gave her a glare and stepped away from the door way. He showed her the way to his step-daughters room and knocked on the plain white door, which had a pink sighs on the front that read 'Baby B'. It looked like something a small child around the age of five would have on her door. Veronica gave the door a gentle tap to make sure Betty wasn't to shocked by it.
B-Come in.
Betty said in a gentle yet broken whisper. Veronica slowly entered the room to see Betty with a tissue is her hand sitting on her floral window seat while looking out of the window holding her legs. She looked up and Veronica immediately saw her red and swollen eyes widen as she saw her.
B-What do you want?
She sobbed. Veronica felt terrible she was about to cause Betty so much more pain, Betty didn't deserve this she was so nice and never had a problem with anyone.
V-I have some bad news.
B-What is it Veronica what could it possibly be!
She shouted more like screamed. She had lost so much in a day her mom and her boyfriend the two people she loved the most as well as Minnie.
V-I...
She stuttered before placing herself on Betty's bed which had pink floral sheets.
V-I had sex with Jughead last night but I didn't know about you two Betty I thought you broke up. I just went through a hard break up Betty I swear it meant nothing.
Betty remained impassive she seemed like she didn't care but inside she was screaming and dying slowly.
B-It's okay it's not your fault, I'm sorry about your boyfriend.
V-I'm sorry about your boyfriend and your mom.
Veronica cried and Betty held her arms out and they both cried in each other's arms.
You're probably wondering why Betty forgave Veronica so quickly because she had the right to have sex with someone who she thought was single. It was Jughead who was the real pig and Betty knew this but she wasn't going to talk to him about it she didn't want to talk to him.
V-He also made a pros and cons list about you I'm sorry. I have a photo if you want.
Of course Betty didn't want to see this list but she was intrigued by it.
"Pros

4) She's not afraid to be herself.

Betty found herself reading the same line over and over again 'I love her'. She knew that it was obvious he didn't she just rolled her eyes at the line he didn't love her or he wouldn't have done it. She had seen enough and had been broken enough, Betty texted Jughead telling him goodbye to their relationship. She didn't like screaming at anyone and if they fought they would end up screaming.
'Dear Juggie,
I want to say I'm sorry I wasn't good enough for you. I hope we can still be friends as you're a nice person to be around but our relationship is over.
Forever love,
Betty'
And that's how their love ended or maybe just begun. This isn't the end.
