B-Guess what Juggie, I'm getting married Reggie asked me to marry him and we're going to have children straight away.

Wow. That was Jughead's only thought, the love of his life was getting married and of course he was happy for her she deserved this. Jughead didn't particularly liked the fact she was getting married but he had moved on although deep down he knew that he still loved her. Jughead did have a girlfriend, her name was Toni, Jughead didn't love her and she wasn't like Betty she wasn't soft enough as some may say. Jughead didn't know what to do so her pulled her into a tight hug causing her to smell his ever so familiar smell that she loved. He was crying, he didn't know why but he was crying. He wipes his tears before Betty could see he was crying. His heart was breaking but he just didn't know it, he could feel the pit in his stomach his heart in his throat.But he thought he was happy, he convinced himself he was happy for her sake because he loved her. He slowly released from the hug holding her hands in his, their faces inches apart, smiling lovingly at each other.

J-I'm so happy for you Betts I really am.

He really was, he wanted her to be happy but he wanted her to be happy with him. He knew Reggie Mantle wasn't good for her, he knew it by the kissing he spotted last Tuesday between Valerie and Reggie. He hadn't said anything and really didn't plan to.

B-Me too, I'm so excited Jug.

She squealed, the whole staff room was looking at her at this point except Reggie and Valerie who were off canoodling. All of the teachers were thinking 'oh that poor girl' because she was and she would realise she was very,very soon.

It was a Friday at 7:30 so it was really Betty's day off and Jughead takes over her class for that day. A lot of the students very low-key ship bughead,okay no, everyone high-key shipped bughead. It was often gossip amongst students, many rumours circled around about them, Mr Jones and Miss Smith had sex on the desk, Miss Smith is having an affair with Mr Jones, They are both undercover spy's working for the Russian government but that's all they were rumours and nothing else. That didn't stop the students from making things up though but no one believed anything they said luckily.

Anyway, Betty came in to especially talk to Jughead about the fact that she was getting married. She didn't think about his feelings she thought about how happy she was. She wasn't being selfish she just wasn't self aware.

Soon they were just standing there, not knowing what to say. Betty just smiled and looked down at the blue carpet that had all sorts of mysterious stains on them. They were both uncomfortable, they both were in love and over the past months they had become more in love. Betty knew there was still something there, Jughead knew there was still something there they just couldn't trust each other in a relationship anymore. In a friendship? Sure. But in a romantic relationship they had both kept secrets from one-another. Betty eventually gave him a gentle kiss on the cheek and said good bye and she was on her way.

Jughead stood there, dumbfounded, it had been years since she had kissed him and it made him feel very warm. He pressed his fingers to his cheek and smiled lightly to himself. He knew he needed her and that eventually he would have her.
