Here we go with my first week of school.
I was grateful of the fact that I could not get sleep last night because Chaewon was ranting about his successful senior year while being friendly with teacher Kang that once still had full hair. I didn't know what satanic spirit had possessed him last night, but he did a great job of keeping me from being late.
And I still couldn't remember some of the ways inside these tall giant buildings. Most of the times would be me wandering around, with the help of the map on the noticeboard that occasionally stuck around the corner.
"Good morning, Chorong!" Bomi, who had already arrived excitedly waved towards me at her locker. It was pink all over the place, i swear rich kids had so many money to pour. Smiling, I waved her back and moved to my locker that was four steps away. Luckily the office lady had inserted my locker key in the belongings, or else I had to carry the books all around. The locker system was luxurious, as expected from an elite school.
"You aren't late today." She said but paused when she saw me. "..but you look like you just came back from the war." Of course, with improper way of my bed hair sticking out from every corner; the way my uniform wasn't properly fixed and my potato face looked like I had been ghosted away. An embarrassment. I hoped I didn't embarrass myself more than I should with an improper way of dress code. Haha, it wasn't like a discipline committee would come up out of blue, was it?
"My brother. He started talking about his school life when I asked him about his glory days." I stopped myself from yawning out loud. To yawn so openly in public..that would make me embarrassed. There was even a proper rich lady in front of me, I couldn't possibly dare to act in such a countrified way.
Bomi suddenly held out something from her locker. I stared at the small thing. It was a compact powderㅡfrom a famous brand that costed more than half of my wardrobe. I was about to reject, but really. Let us think back about the power of my messed up face. A little bit of coverage would be enough to hide my 59 kilograms eye bags. Speaking of the cause, I wondered if I would fall asleep in the class like the person beside me.
Now I thought about it again, he sure had a fantastic day sleeping around with no one bothering him. Like a nonexistent atom.
"Your brother, Chaewon? Auw, he's so adorable." Bomi clasped her hands dreamily. Dang, my brother seriously still had his impact in this school. "I wish I could meet him for once."
"And then you will see how fast he starts to rant nonsense." I checked final look on the mirror. Okay, at least I was better than before. I kept my things to locker and took out some books.
