Chapter III: The Company of Warrior Bunnies

April 5th 20XX, 4 months after setting a foothold on Daerah Khusus.

Iqbal sat quietly at the edge of the cliff, with the snow falling on him even when it's entering spring. As he smokes his favorite cigar, with a thermos full of coffee. He pours some of it, as he sips it gently.

Iqbal is not used to the cold, even when he's wearing the new Kopassus winter attire and back when they train together with the South Korean Special Forces. His hands are freezing, as he went back inside the hidden military base after being outside for a break.

The GATE's location in this world is in the Mountain Range of Ice and Snow, which they found themselves either lucky or not.

They were lucky to be positioned in a cave, as they are safe from aerial attacks and remain hidden from the Jietai. As well they're unlucky, for their base is close to the Jietai controlled area, and the fact that Indonesians have not well suited to the cold. Well, except the Kopassus.

The construction of the base, however, is not as smooth as it was back at the Gajah Mada Island.

Even having the GATE conveniently large enough so that heavy machinery can pass it through, excavating a cavern is hard. Especially, when they're about to build a massive, underground, military base that has all of the elements of the TNI. Well, almost except the Navy.

They could build a Naval base soon, but only if they expand the Military Base further to the northeast, or just made a separate base on the north of the Mountain Range of Ice and Snow. Risking Indonesia's presence on Daerah Khusus, that was meant to be a classified and confidential operation.

The military base on Daerah Khusus is progressing at quite a slower pace than the one in Gajah Mada Island. But, they hasten the construction, and at the very least they finished construction for its vital structures. At the moment, only the Army facilities are completed.

Iqbal walked inside a large building, the building houses the administration, and the Infantry Colonel's office. He was expected by the Infantry Colonel in his office.

Iqbal began to imagine every possibility when he arrived there, but he only thinks about the bad outcomes. His imagination was ceased, when he arrived there. He opens the door. And to his surprise, he saw Myra, in Kopassus attire, was already in there.

"Ah, you're here. Good, good. There's something I need to tell you, have a seat." Said the Colonel, as he gestures Iqbal to take a seat. Iqbal complied, as he then sat on the seat that was provided for him.

"Second Lieutenant Iqbal." Said the Colonel.

"Yes sir!" Iqbal replied.

"You are temporarily assigned to the new Warrior Bunny Company. Your assignment is to guide and train the recruits of Warrior Bunnies that's just recently added to our military ranks, to be accustomed to our protocols, rules, ethics. With this, you are promoted to First Lieutenant. Congratulations." Said the Colonel, as he stood up immediately and gave Iqbal a salute. With the Lieutenant Colonel followed in suit.

"Thank you, Sir!" He stood up, as he salutes the Colonel and the Lieutenant Colonel back. The three lowered their hands, Iqbal and the Colonel sat back at their seat.

"But sir, is it okay to recruits Warrior Bunnies into our ranks? No disrespect towards the Warrior Bunnies, but is it okay to recruit the Warrior Bunnies that are classified as refugees?" Asked Iqbal. Listening to Iqbal's question, the Colonel smirked.
