RORY HAD STOPPED BREATHING BY THE TIME THEY ENTERED THE ABATTOIR.

Klaus rushed over to the nearest flat space in the courtyard, Elijah and Rebekah right behind him. He gently set her on the cleared dining table, promptly beginning CPR to keep her breathing while his siblings searched for some sign of an explanation. Rory was as limp as a dead body and absurdly pale. It was as if she had been placed under some sort of sleeping curse.

He could hear the others shouting and talking to him, but he wasn't listening to a single word.

He waited until he could confirm he heard the heartbeats within Rory' body before returning to the chaos. She was breathing shallowly, but was otherwise unresponsive.

Those who had followed the Originals at a human pace had finally arrived, crowding the end of the dining table, Billy and Stella the most confused of them all, having no idea what was going on in any capacity. Genevieve and Davina had come too, having witnessed the scene. Only Marcel had stayed behind, the funeral procession still going on; although he was just as concerned for Rory, Cami needed him.

"There's too many of you. Unless you can be useful, get back!" Klaus commanded the group all crowding the table with a growl.

"I can help—" Genevieve insisted.

"You lay one finger on her, it'll be your last!" Klaus snarled at the witches.

"She's a nurse, Nik," Rebekah pointed out.

"And I'm a doctor," Stella snapped, pushing Klaus aside to take over. They had been following Klaus and his siblings, but at some point the four had just disappeared, and were already well inside the Mikaelson home before they got there. "Why aren't we at a hospital right now? Call an ambulance, Billy!"

"No, you can't," Rebekah stopped him, snatching his phone from him with an apologetic look.

Genevieve shook her head at Stella. "You won't be able to help with this."

Sounding as if she has an idea of what had happened to Rory, Klaus turned toward the elder witch, eyes glowing gold in fury. He flashed before her, not caring for Stella's shock, and lifted the witch up by her throat. "Who?"

Weakly, Genevieve grabbed at his hands, struggling to speak. "I—don't—" she shook her head.

"Ay dios mios!" Stella exclaimed in surprise at the unexpected display of violence and brute strength.
