In This Together *Casualty*

Ch three

Kenzie sighed as she stood in the spare room of the flat. She and Iain were suppose to be decorating it for the baby. For their baby but Kenzie couldn't help but feel as if he was off. And that he didn't even want the baby. She felt as if he didn't want her.

Kenzie grabbed her phone off the side as she tried to call Iain. It went straight to voicemail. Kenzie sighed.

"Where the hell are you Iain? You're meant to be here with me decorating the nursery. But you've not come to help me. You're at work aren't you?"

Kenzie left the voicemail and hung up. She sat down and looked at the paint across the room and sighed. She looked around and stood up.

Kenzie grabbed her phone off the floor and walked out of the room. She placed a hand on her baby bump and smiled. "It's going to be okay baby. Mummy is here. And daddy is going to be okay. I promise," Kenzie said.

Kenzie was scared. She felt as if she was alone. And she didn't want to do it alone. All that she could think about was now off Iain had been lately. And she was terrified. As she felt something bad was going to happen.

Kenzie got to the ED and walked into the ambulance bay. She saw Iain and looked to him and sighed. "So this is what you want to do? Rather the decorate our baby's nursery?" She asked.

Iain looked at her and sighed. "I'm so sorry babe. I forgot," Iain told her as he walked over to Kenzie.

Kenzie rolled her eyes and looked down at the floor. "You always are forgetting Iain. Do you even want this baby?" She asked as she felt a tear sting her eye.

Iain nodded and smiled. "Course I do. I'm sorry. I know that I've been distant and I'll make it up to you. I promise you. It's just work. I did forget," Iain said as he kissed her.

Kenzie looked at him and smiled. "I know you'll make it up to me. As you're not getting anything from me until you do," she said as she walked off.

Iain stood watching with a smirk on his face as Kenzie walked into the ED.

Kenzie sat in the staffroom and smiled as Ella walked in. She looked at her. "You look like crap," Ella said.

Kenzie looked over at her and smiled. "Well. I feel like it," she said as she yawned and took a sip of her hot chocolate.

Ella walked over to her and smiled. "Are things still tense with you and Iain?" She asked.

Kenzie nodded. "Is is that clear to see?" She asked as she felt some tears slip down her cheeks.

"I'm your sister. And I know you. I'm worried about you."

"I just don't know if I can count on him. Anyways, are you still sleeping with Cal?" Kenzie asked.

Ella looked at her and smiled. "I don't think my sex life is any of your business," she said.

Charlie walked in. He was looking pale. "What is it?" Kenzie asked. She was scared.

"It's Iain. He's been brought in. It looks as if he tried to lull himself," Charlie said as Kenzie looked at him and paled.

She couldn't believe what she was hearing. But would Iain be okay?
