The only thing Harry and I did that day were sit in my living room and watch Megan sleep peacefully. He tried to get me to talk more about why I didn't want children, but I shut down the conversation.
If I'm being honest I didn't mind watching Megan sleep for almost three hours. She was so cute when she slept. Who wouldn't want to watch.
I could tell Harry was fine with it too. She would shift in her sleep, smacking her lips together and a small smile would grow on Harry's face.
Harry really loves Megan.
Which I'm glad. I couldn't imagine being friends with anyone who didn't love her.
But sometimes he would be staring at me too. I'd glance over and he would quickly look back at Meg. My cheeks grew hot everytime I caught him staring.
I wonder if he knew how much he really affected me.
Well, Kay eventually picked Megan up. It was awkward between me and Harry for a bit after that. We didn't know what to do or how to act when we weren't distracted with something.
Sometimes, we didn't know how to just be around each other.
It was this weird tension, like both of us wanted to say something, but were too nervous.
Eventually Harry spoke up and asked me a question.
"Sadie?" I looked over at Harry. "What's your favorite place you've ever been?" I furrowed my eyebrows at the question. I had to think a little bit.
"One time I went with my friend to the Grand Canyon," That's the only place I could think of. "That's the only place I've ever really visited," Harry nodded his head thoughtfully.
"What was your favorite thing about it?" I knew the answer immidietly.
"We went there pretty late," I smiled to myself. "I remember looking up and seeing the moon," This memory always made me happy. "It's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen," I shook my head in disbelief, remembering how pretty it was.
"Canyon Moons are beautiful," Harry smiled.
"What's your favorite place you've been?" I decided I'd ask him as well.
"Japan is beautiful," Harry nodded. It looked like he was trying to think of something else. "But I think Paris or Rome are my favorite," He nodded.
"I could never imagine traveling to those places," I scoffed, genuinely interested.
"I'll take you sometime," I raised my eyebrows at the statement. "We can take a trip to Paris and make our way to Rome," He smiled.
"Harry no," I scoffed. I don't want him thinking I'm using him for the money.
"It wasn't a question," I raised my eyebrows at the sassy remark. "We are going. Not today, not tomorrow, maybe not even in the next few years, but we are going," He had a very serious look.
"Whatever you say," I shrugged and took a deep breath. "Why did you want to know my favorite place?" His question was very random.
"I just want to know random things about you," He shrugged.
What he said made my heart skip a beat. He wanted to know more about me. He's asked me questions no one has ever asked me. It's the random ones that are the most important to me because no one wants to know those things.
But he does.
"Maybe one day I can take you to the Grand Canyon," I looked over at him. "A little road trip," I shrugged knowing that was the most I could do.
"I would love to," Harry smirked. It looked like he genuinely meant it too.
Well, he's not the only one who wants to know more.
"Why did you decide to grow your hair so long?" I've always admired his beautiful locks, but I've also always been curious.
"I want to donate it eventually," The answer made my heart swell. He grew out his hair just for a good cause. "I think I'm cutting it sometime soon," My eyes went wide and my head shot in his direction.
"When?" I seriously was not expecting that.
"In the next few weeks," Harry shrugged, running his fingers through his hair.
"I better be there," I raised my eyebrows at him and pointed. "I need to be there," Harry held up his hands in defense.
"You are more than welcome," He laughed. "I'm nervous to do it though," He laughed lightly.
"Well, I would be too," I scoffed. "How short are you cutting it," I leaned back on the couch, genuinely invested now.
"Short," He raised his eyebrows.
"I've got to admit," I nodded. "I might miss it," I smiled widely.
"You and me both," He ran his fingers through his hair again, like he was trying to touch it as much as possible before it was gone.
We sat there in silence once more. It wasn't awkward silence. It was comfortable silence.
I wouldn't change anything about our relationship. I know that the feelings I have towards Harry are one sided, but I've accepted it.
He's an amazing friend and I won't ask for anything else.
I was snapped out of my thoughts by the sound of a phone ringing.
Harry picked up his phone and put it to his ear.
"Mitch hey," Harry leaned back on the couch, listening to what Mitch was saying.
"I'm at Sadie's house. What do you need?" For some reason hearing him say that made my cheeks grow warm.
"No, no," Harry rolled his eyes. "It's not anything like that, we are just hanging out," Now that didn't feel as good.
"You're gonna what you little shit," Harry cracked a smile and leaned forward like he was excited.
"Of course she'll say yes!" Harry was a very good hype man. "Don't stress about it. Just do it."
Harry seemed like he couldn't stop smiling.
"Alright Mitch, tell me how it goes," Harry hung up the phone and looked at me.
"Mitch is asking Sarah out in a date," Harry wiggled his eyebrows up and down.
I'm sorry for the VERY short chapter.
