Flames licked at his skin, the burning heat twisted in coils around the heels of his shoes. The ends of his jeans became singed from the fire, and he felt as if his body would be next.

The world began to shift and tilt until he felt the world spin around him, felt and saw the ground come closer.

He felt his whole body jolt after he hit the ground, recalled the feeling in his body as he slammed into the stone ground.

With a start, Harry came to his senses, his whole body aching as he got up.
He groaned in pain as he rose, his hand clutching at his shoulder as he grit his teeth. He couldn't tell whether it was dislocated or just bruised, but he could tell something was wrong when it was the first thing that made contact with the hard stone floor of the castle hall.
He ignored the pain that lingered in his shoulder, ignored that his own problem may not be so easily forgettable.

He was dazed, and he glimpsed around, his eyes slowly absorbing the scene that what surrounded him.

It was then he felt adrenaline and panic run through him as he realized the other two had fallen with him.
Were they okay? Had they been hurt too?

He felt the pain ebb away from his consciousness and he shakily stood up, hobbling over to the two boys who were sprawled on the ground.
"Oh god, Tom! Are you okay?" Harry asked in a panicked voice, his hands desperately grabbing at said boy to see if there had been any wounds.
It seemed as if he had been the first one to get up.
His hands cupped Tom's face, and he gently turned his head from side to side to check for any injuries.

He felt the buzzing run through his fingers and he noticed that the brown eyes widened in shock.
Harry assumed he was feeling the same thing he was, the same energy that ran through his fingertips that tingled his fingers probably ran across Tom's dirtied cheeks.
The older boy stared at him for a moment, his lips parting like he wanted to speak, but as if he was choosing his next words carefully.

"Just fine." Tom murmured, his eyes filled with something Harry couldn't name as he gently removed Harry's hands and held them in his own.
The younger boy simply gave him a curt nod.
As far as he could see, all Tom had wrong with him was his disheveled hair and soot covered face. Maybe even a bruise or two from the fall.

He could only wonder what that sensation was and what it meant.

He turned away his attention from Tom, feeling the faint embarrassment that came from such a close and personal experience with what would have been the future Dark Lord.

It was then that he looked over and noticed the unmoving blond on the ground, and his face began to pale in horrific realization.

Harry quickly made his way to Draco and checked over the blond before grasping his shoulders with both hands as to bring him back to reality.
"Draco!" He whispered urgently, seeing that the blond's eyes were closed. In that instant, he no longer cared for their school rivalry.
His fingers brushed the hair from the pale boy's face, and he let out a sigh of relief as the eyes of said boy began to flutter open.

"Harry...?" The boy was shaken, and his eyes darted around warily in a panic.
It seemed his mind was racing, similar to how Harry had felt when he came back to his senses. His eyes were distant yet seeing, his face contorted in worry and fear.
It was then that his face changed, going from concern and panic to relief and joy.

"Harry!" Draco repeated, his voice filled with a tone  Harry had never heard the boy pair with his name before. He felt his body jump at the voice, felt the way his ears burned and his hair stood on end.
"Oh thank god." He gasped out, his shoulders sagging in relief as he loosened his hold on the blonde.
