Time can intervene, but can never do away my worry completely!

Amirah_

Days are passing slowly, nights tumbling into days and days ebbing away enfolding away with it all the mysteries that were embedded in it.

That night, Amirah sat in her room thinking deeply. It's been ten months already since Amin passed away. Her wound is ameliorating gradually as she could think of him without feeling that much ache she do feel whenever she thought of him, but there wasn't a second that she won't think of him, and all the memories of him remain fresh in her brain. Khalid had been nothing but nice, though she hated his involvement with her life. Everyday he closes from work, he'll branch the company to see how she's fairing. And yeah, their company is progressing with the speed of lightning. Everything is falling into place, and success is seeking after them with a hasty rate.

Grandpa had called her and told her to accept their inheritance, hers and her daughter's but she declined flatly. She asked him too not to sell his company in Devon and keep it functioning, and the profit should go to the orphanage and mosques as a sadaqat for his soul and a mercy to him. And the two houses he has in Devon, she asked him to give Amir one and keep the other one for himself, with the cars and other assets. And as for Bloom, it's in layla's name and he'd said it to all his family that the company is hers whether he's alive or not, is still the same.

Grandpa declined taking the house and the company as he insisted they all have to take their inheritance, but when Amirah broke into tears, he finally assented and left everything as it is.

Amirah left her room as she got tired of thinking, and met her family in the sitting room. She can't remember when last she sat with her family and chatted.

The strange eyes they casted towards her made it obvious that they're surprise to see her join them. The only thing she knows she'd done for the past ten months is to enter her mother's room and greet her, and her father likewise. Her siblings only enter her room to check on her and leave immediately as she never give them the face to stay and chat with her as they were hoping.

"Why is everyone looking at me like that?" She said as she sat close to maryam and lifted layla off the ground in order not to step on her in a haste to catch up with her mother.

"It's a good thing you're joining us today." Appa made the mental comment, and everyone in the sitting room smiled in acceptance of what appa just said.

"We're all here for you, you know that right?" Kabir joined, slightly at ease. He'd missed his sister so much as she'd shut them all out of her life. He had even given merit to Khalid that was able to get a little bit into her life when they, her family had failed.

Amirah sighed. She placed layla's head on her laps and fondled gentle. "I'm so sorry everyone. It wasn't my idea to shut you all out of my life. I can't just help it."

"Don't be sorry dear." Ummu countered mildly. "It's a life obstacle you have to deal with. Besides, we all have our darken moments, but the thing is that you shouldn't bury yourself completely in it. You should peek where there is light so that you can find a trail towards a perky ambience again even of it means scrambling to it. And hold on to those who are willing to lead you out of your gloom moment to a brighter one."

Khalid!

Amirah thought as she listened to ummu. It's a fact she can't deny. She'd buried her self too long in the darken world of her misery. And maybe it's time to resurface a little again and have the grace of sniffing fresh air again, and gazing at the bright sunshine again. Her family were so understanding that they didn't impose their presence on her when they discern that all she needed was space.
