One step after another, it means the journey is getting shorter!
Khalid_
The wedding fatiha had been done, and the bride's in her new husband's house.
"To amarya, I'll be leaving now, be an obedient wife to your husband okay?" Farida said and pinched her cheek playfully as she got up to leave. Most of her friends and acquaintance had left already as the night was growing old.
"Thank you farida." Amirah said and smiled bitterly. No fortune teller is needed to predict her condiotion as it's already splayed obviously for everyone to see. She'd shed tears of sorrow and pain remembering Amin. And the tears that, that's the only thing she could do to save the company. Ever since the wedding was done, she'd been crying till they escorted her to her new home.
After she'd walked farida to the door, she went back to the room and sat on her new bed. A new life to begin with, with a new form of sorrow.
Khalid's house is a small and portable bungalow, two bedrooms, a sitting room, dinning room, kitchen and guest sitting room.
She reclined on the bed and tilted her head backward, taking a tour deeply into her sorrow. It seems life's treating her like a character in a serio-comedy drama. And the most she could do is just sit back and watch that drama because she's a helpless character in it.
"I'm so sorry Amin I don't mean to do this, please forgive me."
She whispered silently to herself as if soliloquizing, hanging her head in shame imagining what Amin could have felt if he's watching her wherever he is. He will have thought she'd abandoned him so soon, barely a year after his demise.
But that's the only thing she can do to help keep the company and his project alive. In as much as she's hurting badly, she'd discerned that, that's the only thing she could do to Amin. She knows she only got married again for the sake of marriage, and to save her reputation from the world's harm, but she and the one that's not married are the same. She felt so. That's because nothing will ever happen between she and Khalid!!
She got up and trawled after her night gown in her already arranged closet. She had pulled down all her clothes and was putting on her night gown when Khalid trudged into the room with Salam, gawking at her the moment his eyes captured her image dressing.
She answered his Salam without looking at him, but went ahead to pull down her nighty on her body.
Khalid sat on the bed, looking at her amorously as she dressed in her night wear. He felt something stirred in his heart, a feelings towards his new wife. He stared at her unable to move his eyes off her body until she turned and caught him ugling at her.
That's just what you're allowed to do.
"Aren't you sleepy? You better go to bed now so that you can wake up early and go to work." She said and hopped on her bed, then pulled up the duvet up her body.
Khalid absconded from his trance and smiled at her. She has such elegant body like the shape of figure eight, he thought palpitatingly.
"I was given one week leave to be with my new wife, so I'm all yours for the whole week." His smile widened.
"Too bad, I've to start work next tomorrow." She turned her face and backed him.
Really! Can't she even stay at home for a week?
"You should have rest first, then resume work next week."
"No Khalid, the company needs me." She said without looking at him, and Khalid shrugged off.
