Chapter Thirteen

We all went to the vending machine and used practically all our money. We passed the rooms going to the pool then Peter walked out of his room wearing a hoodie.

"Hey- y/n!"
I looked at the other as they passed by Peter and I

I whispered and said
"Perfect timing. We're gonna go swimming. Come on, come on"
I said and grabbed his hand

"What?"
Peter asked now whispering back.
Everyone passed by, laughing quietly

"I was, uh-I was gonna go study, um, in the business center"
He said and I felt like he was lying.

"Peter. What do you mean you don't need to study. You're like the smartest guy I've ever met."

Peter smiled
"Thanks"
He said quietly looking down as he fidgeted with his hands

"Hey and besides- well uh- a rebellious group activity the day before the competition is good for morale."
He looked at me confused as I said that

"Um-well...I read that in a TED Talk, so, I-I mean I uh...heard it in a TED Talk. And I read... a book about it."
I smiled and nodded as my heart nearly pounded out of my chest.

"Wow, you really... This is really important to you"

"Yeah... I guess so.. plus I'm here so I'm not gonna screw it up. Besides, we raided the minibar and these candy bars were, like, eleven dollars. So come on!"
I handed him a candy bar from the vending machine.

Then I walked away

Narrators pov-
Peter watched as she walked away. He looked down at the candy bar in his hands and stuffed it in his bag.

He didn't want to tell y/n that he was going to go on a mission because he knew that if she came she would get in trouble with Tony Stark or at least tony would be upset with her.

Peter went to the pool but on top of the glass ceiling. He watched as they all laughed and swam. He looked around and his eyes immediately went to y/n, not MJ.

He sighed and looked out into the night sky.

Y/ns pov-
We all had a lot of fun at the pool but we almost got caught.
But once we all got to bed we all just passed out.

My alarm started to go off.
I groaned and pressed the snooze.
We had to wake up as the damn sun rose

I sat up in bed and rubbed my eyes looking around at our room. MJ was still asleep.

I prepared myself to get out of bed then went over to the bottom of my bed where my backpack was.
I grabbed my clothes, makeup, and hair products then went to the bathroom.

I got ready and by the time I finished, MJ was finished getting ready as well.

"Are you nervous?"
I asked MJ as she walked back into our room.
"Not really. I'm more tired than nervous."

I smiled and she looked up at me "Are you?"

I shrugged "I guess. Too early to tell"

I grabbed a smaller bag and pack some things in it that I'd need for the day cause we were going to go site-seeing after.

I grabbed my yellow blazer and walked out the door.

Everyone else was sat down in the lobby but I didn't see ned and peter. I went to their room and knocked on the door

"Ned, Peter, we're gonna be late. Come on."

"O-Okay, hold on, hold on."
Ned said and sounded nervous. I wonder what they were doing last night that Ned is so anxious. Maybe he's nervous about the competition.

We waited for a little bit then Ned came down. But without peter.

"Alright! Let's go!"
Mr.Harrington said

I went over to Ned and whispered to him as we walked to the bus.
"Where's Peter?"

Ned looked around then answered back whispering
"He went to go fight some superhero guys. And he told me that you knew about his power stuff"

I widened my eyes "did he tell you about my superhero stuff?"
I asked, still whispering.

"That you're in the stark internship but you're actually doing the internship"
I smiled and nodded
"Yeah that"

I'm glad he didn't tell Ned about me being a superhero too, it wouldn't ruin the magic. I might have to tell him soon but for now, it'll be Peter and I's little secret.
