C H A P T E R 03

"H-huh?!" gulat kong saad at ramdam ko ang pag-init ng aking leeg dahil lang sa sinabi niya.

"Nothing," he mumbled at namulsa. Fuck! Did he saw something? Tumalikod ako dahil sa kahihiyan at siguro mukhang kamatis na yung mukha ko dahil sa pamumula.

"Totoo talaga? Walang halong biro?" paninigurado ko. Umiwas naman siya ng tingin sa akin at tumungo na sa pintuan.

"Aalis na ako, magbihis kana para makapag-usap tayo ng maayos. I'll wait for you downstairs," he just smiled and left the room and I can't deny that his smile was breath-taking.

Nung umaga si Mom and Dad, tapos nung hapon naman si Nico and now, isang doktor who happens to break into my bathroom and maybe saw something he should not. Can people get any weirder?

Before I make that doctor wait for so long, I hurriedly made my way to my walk in closet and find myself comfy clothes. I used a pink lip tint to be presentable and went out to see my visitor in the living room. And there he is, sitting in the sofa, drinking his cup of tea while reading a book on one hand which is probably one of the books in our bookshelves.

Kung kanina masyadong madilim sa kwarto ko, ngayon mas maliwanag na and seeing his face in such brightness made emphasis to his gorgeous hot look. Furrowed brows, tantalizing eyes, long eye lashes, pointy nose and not to mention his breath-taking smile he gave me not a while ago in my room before he left.

My eyes were stucked staring at the Doctor's lips--- thin, smooth and edible pinkish lips that I want to tas--- for Pete's sake Avani! You're ridiculous! Nandito ako para makipag-usap sa doktor ko na nangsasabing aayusin ang kondisyon ko at hindi para pagnasaan siya, okay?!

I took a step forward and cleared my throat. "So Dr. Finn, what are we gonna talk about?" Tnignan niya muna ako ng pagkatagal-tagal then binaba ang libro na binabasa niya.

He first took a sip in his cup then spoke. "I will not make this long. Since I will be taking your case and I really want to make you feel better, I want to have all your schedules obviously because you are working," panimula niya

"Also you need to tell me what you do and what you will do. Not to mention that you also need to tell me if there's something happening to you or bugging you and many much more," he continued and I was speechless for a moment. What does he mean by that?

"H-huh?" I was not prepared for what he said so I was thinking deep. Of all my doctors, he is the only one who asked me this and its freaking unbelievable and weird.

"To make the long speech short, since you're a special case, you need to report to me everything," he summarized. Naiintindihan ko na Doktor ko siya at ginagawa niya lang ang trabaho niya pero sa lahat ng doktor na nakasalamuha ko, siya lang ang kaisa-isahang nagsabi nito and really? Special case?

"Special case my ass," I smirked.

"Your ass is big," he butted in that made me look at him furiously straight to the eyes. "For real?" I said in a serious tone and he replied, "You really are a special case," pag-iiba niya ng usapan at umiwas ng tingin.

"Don't worry about me, I'm not gonna last longer anyways so please don't bother," he looked at me intently like he's gonna swallow me any moment by now.

"Miss Steele. Just for your information, I have cancelled tons of special meetings and rejected a lot of patients just because of you. So can you please participate? And of all the patients I have encountered, you are the only one who declined such an offer."

I was speechless, well he has a little bit of point though.

"Oh, okay" Am I really that special? Nah! maybe because I'm the heiress of the Asia's best Hotel Chains that it made me special to the point that he cancelled a lot of work just for me.

"I'll be monitoring all of your actions starting today so that my work will be much more easier and this," He gave me a black calling card, written in it is his full name, number of course and seriously? it even have his picture! This guy is weird--- no, people are all weird today!

"Its my calling card. Call me to inform every actions you make. What you're---" I cut off his words and continued what he's supposed to be saying.

"What I'm doing, what I will do, where I am, where I'm going, what I'm eating and how about if I go to sleep?" I asked. "Oh, count that in," he smiled and I just rolled my eyes. Kung makapag-demand naman to akala mo boyfriend na mahigpit sa bawat galaw ng girlfriend niya.

"Fine, since wala naman akong magagawa," I uttered in defeat dahil ayaw ko na rin namang makipag-debate pa sa kaniya, he seems eagerly consistent.

"Good. Everything is settled then. I'll be going now." He speaks so well and so professional with his manly voice. He stood up, moved closer to me and offered to shake hands and when he was near me, I can smell his manly scent that sent shivers down my spine. Pagkatapos niya akong kamayan, lumayo na ako sa kanya kasi kung ano-ano na ang pinag-iisip ko. He took his coat and glanced at me for a second then left like there's something important he needed to do.

For some reason, I have this gut feeling that his glances and stares means something but I don't know what it is. I was about to turn around so I can go to the kitchen when someone spoke.

"Eres muy guapa, as always." You are very beautiful. Its Dr. Finn who spoke then left like nothing ever happened and I can't understand what he just said excluding the word gwapa. Well nevermind.

Ako lang mag-isa sa bahay ngayon except sa mga katulong and drivers namin. Si Mom, minsan wala sa bahay kasi may mga importanteng ginagawa pero kung kailangan ko siya ay hindi yun nagda-dalawang isip na umuwi kasi baka daw ano na ang nangyari sakin. Si Dad naman ay madalas wala rin dito kasi parating may mga meetings and such things to do. Minsan lang yun dito umuuwi kasi madalas nasa ibang bansa para mag-manage ng business namin.

I don't have a boyfriend too although I have tons of suitors lining up to own me and most of them are good looking but their attitude always bring me down. No to boyfriends, yes to baking and watching movies!

I went to the kitchen because I'm craving for a cake right now. I simply love baking. I love pastries but not all the time that I eat them, I don't want to have diabetes. I just love to do it because it's my own definition of relaxation and stress reliever. I also am fond of strumming on my guitar, also one of my stress reliever. I always do that when I am awake in the middle of the night because of having nightmares so I strum and sing to pass the time.

Gusto kong kumain ng strawberry cake ngayon kaya kumuha ako nga maraming strawberries, tinapos ang trabaho ko at pumunta na sa kwarto. I somehow want to watch something in Netflix so I prepared my laptop and projector. Positioned the projector facing the white wall, and went out to take my strawberry cake for a snack.

Nasa kalagitnaan ako ng panunuod when an 'unregistered number' flashed on my phone's screen. I am a very private person but because I am a busy person at the same time, I usually get phone calls most of time but always business related and me and my friends talk as well. Hindi ako palaging tumatanggap ng unregistered number na mga tawag pero baka importante ang tawag na ito kaya sinagot ko na lamang.

"Hey," the person who called spoke like a guy trying to pick a girl. My brows fought in an instant of what I heard.

"How did you get my number?!" Without knowing a reason why my blood boiled in an instant, I yelled to the other line.

"Oh it's none of your business honey," he replied in a teasing way like what he always do.

They say a doctor tends to make you feel better then why is this one different and may be a reason for my near death?!
