Ginzo nodded, not wanting to pry since it couldn't be anything bad "Just two more gifts" It was nice watching the boy both open and accept said gifts. Kaito had learned to accept the kindness of others, and for that, he was glad.

"Yes" Kaito eyed the two gifts that were left, deciding to go for the white and grey checkered one. He reached over and put it in his lap, blinking when he read the tag "It's from Hakuba Saguru" He tilted his head, confusion mixing with excitement. A gift from someone his own age! He was so glad that he'd thought to get the other a gift.

It had also surprised Ginzo when Danashi had handed over the gifts, he hadn't actually thought that Saguru would get Kaito a gift. The two had barely even talked. Though Kaito did have a way with getting people to like him.

Misty smiled "Staring at it won't do anything" She teased, curious to know what the gift's contents were.

"I know that" Kaito blushed from the teasing. The boy then carefully opened the gift, pausing once more when he spotted nothing but paper inside. Said paper was laminated, most likely for extra protection. He made a confused sound in the back of his throat, taking out the package and flipping through it. After a few moments, he let out a small laugh "Oh my god, I totally forgot about this"

Ginzo blinked, leaning over to view some sheets "I have no idea what that is" There were too many scientific terms for him to even attempt to understand.

Kaito smiled, indigo soft "It's blueprints and theories for me to make a really high tech false eye" He touched his eye patch "From what little I've already read, I think that it'll be really cool" He'd totally forgotten that Saguru had been working on this for him.

"That's really great of him" Misty ruffled his hair "Though it's a shame since you look adorable with an eye patch" She couldn't help the snicker that escaped her at Kaito's pout.

"I don't want to be adorable" He wasn't a little kid, even though he looked like one. He'll catch up and properly look his age.

Slate gleamed "Then it makes you look fierce" A complete and total lie, she couldn't imagine Kaito growing up to have a fierce face.

"Lying doesn't make it any better" Kaito huffed, still pouting.

The inspector stifled a chuckle of his own "Maybe you'll be less cute in a few years"

Kaito shot Ginzo a betrayed look, even the inspector thought he was cute? "I'm going to open my last gift" He wanted to change the subject "This one is probably from Keibu" He breathed as he picked up the green box. It felt somewhat heavy, more so than the other boxes. He opened it to reveal two very big books, he took them out and read the titles, the first was The Complete Collections of Arsene Lupin, and the second was The Complete Sherlock Holmes Collections.

Ginzo smiled at the way Kaito was eyeing the Sherlock Holmes book, he knew that Kaito was fond of mystery stories but ironically said books weren't part of his library "I think that the other book will interest you just as much" He snickered, guessing that Kaito was probably unaware of who Arsene Lupin was. It wasn't like Sherlock Holmes, not everyone knew of it.

The boy blushed, hugging the second book to his chest as he grabbed the first one, reading the back of it. Kaito froze, indigo wide "Keibu" A small giggle slipped past his lips "I can't believe it" He was grinning, Ginzo had gotten him a book about a thief! "Misty look!" He offered the book.

"Oh my god" She didn't bother to even try to stifle her giggles after reading the back "I wasn't expecting that"

"I figured that you'd like it" And even if it turned out to be a bad book, the novelty of it was enough. Giving Kaito a book about a thief had seemed like a good idea. He'd come across it when looking up the right Sherlock Holmes books. There were so many versions and copies of it, it had been difficult to make sure that he'd gotten the right one.

"I do" Indigo was bright as Kaito hugged both books to his chest "I like them both a lot" They'd fit in nicely with his crime books. And these ones were new, something rare for him when it came to books "I can't wait to read them" He then eyed the two of them "Now all that's left is your gifts to each other"

"I'll go first" Misty opened her box, giggling when she saw its contents "I guess it's obvious that I like red lipstick" She held up the four sticks, it was a really nice brand "There's no such thing as too much when it comes to this. Thank you" She was always wearing it, so she tended to run out of it a lot.

"I couldn't think of anything else" Ginzo admitted, rubbing his head.

Slate softened "It's great" She wouldn't need to buy any for a good while now "Now it's your turn"

Ginzo nodded, opening his gift. It was a silvery key chain with a four leaf clover at the end, though instead of green, the leaves were a nice purple. The clover was about 2 and a half inches in diameter.

"Oh" Kaito scooted closer to Ginzo "It's real amethyst"

"It's just something to look at" Misty smiled, her gaze subtly turning towards Kaito "For good memories" She was aware that the inspector was worried about Kaito's future. The thing also opened and had something inside, but she didn't want Kaito to see inside it. The boy would become flustered if he was the pictures  she'd secretly taken of him inside it. It would be a physical memory.

The key chain made him think of Kaito, with it being both a clover, a gem, and purple "It's really nice" It wasn't something he'd normally get himself. He ran his fingers along it, almost jumping when it suddenly clicked open.

Kaito squeaked "Why are there pictures of me inside it?!" His face was burning.

Me: Why wouldn't Ginzo want pictures of Kaito? XP The boy is like a son to him~

It was hard picking out gift ideas~
