It's been approximately 4 years since Kaito was adopted into the Nakamori Household. 4 years of healing, therapy, surgeries, and adapting. Kaito has recovered quite a bit, he still can't feel his legs though, but that's okay!
His life is so much better than it'd been when he could walk anyways, having a real family is nice...
Wait... Why did the hot detective that Kaito had a celebrity crush on disappear and get replaced by a tiny child in the newspaper?... Hmm This may need some investigating, and possibly some kidnapping.

1) Chapter 78 of this story and chapter 31 of 'His Magic' are related... Butterfly effect is scary... And heartbreaking... Kaito's terrible childhood led to a vital meeting... Without it... QAQ The fate isn't changed... Oh, now I'm sad
2) This story is the current hub of my unique multiverse... I got to show of some terrifying consequences of some of the gems from my other books... And maybe give myself some openings for future stories... The wolf gem would have been horrific in this universe...

4) Repeating the info... The book that inspired this story is Lights Out by 00Midnight00 it's my number one absolute favourite DCMK book... It inspired me to write about Kaito growing up not knowing the Nakamoris... The inspiration can be seen as loose... But I've been inspired by a venus fly trap so... Yeah. 100/10 I seriously recommend it QAQ I drop EVERYTHING whenever it updates... Gah the last few times were while I was writing

5) This is currently my longest book that I actually enjoyed writing ^-^... My true longest one feels like horrible homework to write, gah (KHR book)
6) Meetings with some characters weren't cameos, besides Shinichi's small appearance. The meetings had meaning and the fruits will be shown within the sequel *cough* Saguru... Actually a lot of stuff was put out with the sequel in mind...
7) I ended it how I did because healing takes a LOT of time, especially when it's the mental kind. If I started writing his healing progress... It'd never end and I'd probably go over the chapter limit for Wattpad. So I left it off with Kaito being emotionally vulnerable but around people willing to support him and plans being mentioned to get him help.
8) Spider still roams free, Scorpion too... And so do all the other baddies except the dead snake... So yikes, good thing book 2 has Shinichi joining the cast because Kaito is... Well he can't really feel his lower half
9) Akako just ditched them, what an ass! Well, let's just say that her meeting Kaito earlier than canon may affect a few things
10) ... When I put up that voting chapter in His Feathers... I almost put a shrunken Kaito fic as an option instead of this (I have the book cover and blurb in my draft box XD)... But I wanted to take a big risk and be different. I still wanna do a shrunken Kaito fic... I want to do many fics... I can't start them all, or I'll risk being unreliable... QAQ
