Harry waited for Draco outside the great hall anxiously. He felt bad for causing a scene after Draco had said all that junk to Astoria. He bit his lip as people walked by giving him glares it felt strange to be treated so poorly.
"Ugh doll I couldn't possibly! Like how was I supposed to know she was straight at the time?" Draco laughed with blaise and Pansy. Harry narrowed his eyes in confusion
"What the heck" he thought as Draco turned to him
"Ah! Harry. You're here" Draco smiled awkwardly Pansy giggled along with blaise.
"See ya later darling!" Pansy called as she hooked arms with blaise and walked away with him. Draco stared and them in shock
"Those assholes just ditched me!" He thought angrily
"Anyway uh draco." Harry said a shiver crawling up Dracos spine at the use of his real name. It felt so real to be called by his first name and the letters seemed to roll of Harry's tongue as if Harry had always said it that way.
"Draco?" Harry said again snapping Draco out of his trance
"Hm?" Draco hummed in response
"I'm sorry about making a scene." Harry smiled awkwardly
"Hey no problem it was hardly you anyway, she made it a scene you just made it fun" Draco smiled at Harry and he blushed turning away and sputtering carelessly
"Come on we have charms together right?" Draco smiled. Harry nodded and stuck his hand out to Draco. Draco stared at it for a moment. Harry smiled at him expecting a hand shake or a high five even but instead Draco intertwined their fingers and held his hand
"Come along love" Draco said with a smile as Harry swore he saw his parents in the after life for a split second
"Why the sudden affection" Harry mumbled
"Isn't that what I'm supposed to do as your boyfriend" Draco smiled perfect white teeth. But he said boyfriend sarcastically in a joking way that made Harry want to scream Im anger and sadness
"Haha I guess you're right" Harry giggled along with Draco they talked for a minute until a curse hit Draco directly in the chest sending the pale boy flying backwards into a wall
"Draco!" Harry yelled running over to the panting boy who winced his hand placed on his chest in an attempt to ease the pain. Looked up to see students all around him gasping or giving a surprised look towards them. All but one. A slytherin girl holding a wand up stared at them in disguised.
"Ah shit." Draco panted and Harry looked at him
"What!? Oh Merlin does it hurt a lot? Can you stand? Let me take you to the hospital wing!" Harry started to help Draco up and Draco exhausted sharply in pain
"Listen green grass bitch. I'm not gonna marry your sister no matter how many spells you throw at me. Get with the program Im dating Harry now" Harry's eyes darted towards the girl who Draco was yelling to and there stood astorias sister her face red with anger and wand still aimed directly at Draco.
"You-" Harry seethed but stopped when he heard Draco huff in pain
"Shit" Harry pulled Draco up and helped him to the hospital wing while Daphne still hugged angered by the sudden swarm of students who were pulling her back and taking her wand
"Watch your back Malfoy! Your father will hear about this! You'll be a dead man! I'll make sure of it!" She yelled hysterically and Draco sighed heavily coughing in pain his hand in his chest
"I don't think she's kidding Draco. This is dangerous when can you talk to your father?" Harry asked his eyes watering just at the thought of Draco being hurt because he was dating him.
"Woah don't sound so desperate to get rid of me" Draco laughed dryly
"That's not what I meant" Harry bit his lip but relaxed a little hearing Draco joke around
"Harry calm down. I've been hit with far worse spells in my life time. Nothing my bestie at e hospital wing can't fix" Draco smiled. Harry raised an eyebrow curiously and helped Draco along the hallways that were completely empty now.
"I can walk the rest of the way. You're gonna get in trouble if you skip class" Draco said huffing slightly
"No way I'm letting you go by yourself it doesn't matter anyway if I say I was helping someone they'll let me do whatever I want" Harry replied with a smirk
"Cocky aren't we?" Draco smiled and Harry blushed and looked away
"Shut up"
The two boys walked into the hospital wing together to find Luna lovegood sitting in a chair as madam pomfry attended some students
"Draco you're back!" Luna smiled enthusiastically jumping up and hugging Draco
"Ah luna in pain" Draco said and Luna smiled and hugged tighter
"I know" she said as draco winced harder. She let go and tuted softly
"Stop getting into fights" she said aloofly but it sent a shiver down Harry's back
"Sorry lun. i didn't start it promise I was just attacked" Draco laughed nervously. Luna sighed and turned to Harry
"Hello Harry. Congratulations on your new soulmate" she said Harry's cheeks turned pink and he pressed his lips into a thin line as Luna took Draco and layed him on a bed and made him drink a brew that made him pass out
"Um Luna. What do you finding my soulmate?" Harry asked as Luna unbuttoned Dracos shirt
"Oh my Harry. It seems you still can't see what I see. I guess you aren't as sane as I am" Luna smiled to herself as she placed a rag over Dracos chest and it began to glow
"See what you see?" Harry quizzed
"Are those a glasses working?" Luna laughed and turned to Harry she took his hand and placed a box of cigarettes in it
"Don't let him smoke anymore the damage on the outside is bad but these are worse." Luna said softly. Harry nodded and shoved the box into his coat. Forgetting what Luna had said previously
