1 • Death

Today was a hard day it had been two months since Dez, her and Awa five year old daughter Genie, Rye sisters Mia and Mya, Kris son Ashton and June sister Juni and my cousin Mel were killed by that semi drunk driver. Everyone was a mess, additional five people were killed but I am not sure who they were.

Dez, Genie and Ashton had drove to the airport to pick up Mya, Mia, Mel and Juni from the Houston airport they had flew in from New York two days before Christmas. The kids were all already here, we were just waiting for them.

Juni had rented a car so, they were on the highway following Dez and a semi truck hit the car behind them completely running it over, then he hit Juni and the girls and then he hit Dez car. All except baby Genie were killed on impact. She was on life support for the last two months and three days ago Awa didn't have a choice but to take her off.

So, many funeral has been had, and much love lost and pain caused. It was unbearable,  that something like this could happen. I know we all lost people because since our kids were babies we have been a family. But I believe June has taken it the worst.

The day of the accident she had to identify Juni's body and she was decapitated. I haven't seen June since or spoken to her. No one knows where she is at, at all. No one can find her, so, I know she is not okay. I had to plan Juni and Mel, and Mia and Mya funerals. Rye wasn't okay to do so, not one bit. I can only imagine how Awa, Kris and Ash feel having to plan one for a child.

I tossed a handful of rose petals into the grave as they lowered baby Genie into it. Awa just stood next to me and Jess holding on to a pink teddy bear I had given Genie at the hospital.

I haven't even seen Awa cry, I know she isn't okay. I just hope in some way she is.

"Hey" Jason tapped me and I turned around.

"What's up."

"You got a second to talk?" He said.

"Now?" I asked.

"It's about June" he replied.

"Okay.." I went to walk away but Awa grabbed my hand and just let it out.

She dropped to the ground in her white suit, she screamed and yelled. She cried, and screamed, it was heartbreaking to see her like this.

I laid in bed I don't know where Rye was or what she was doing. She has been distant from me even more since the accidents. I try to talk to her, but she just shuts down and talks to Jess. I try and do my best but the past two months she has been basically married to Jess.
