A/N: Hello everyone, I recently posted a video on my YouTube channel iHateFridays called 'One Punch Simulator anime intro', which is, uh, pretty much what the title says it is. Feel free to check it out if you want.

...

Kuu Dere had always had difficulty expressing her feelings. However, that did not mean she could not feel at all. In fact, Kuu probably felt more emotions than any other person in the world. Of course, expressing these feelings was an entirely different matter. Her nickname was 'Kuu Dere' for a reason.

Many people had misconceptions about Kuu due to her cold and apathetic nature. Not to mention she was a loner. As the school librarian, she spent most of her time in the library, away from other students. She preferred her own company (or the company of a book) to other people. However, despite what some people believed, she was not friendless.

She had two good friends by the names of Midori Gurin and Ayano Aishi. The three had been friends since elementary school. Midori Gurin was practically the complete opposite of Kuu: boisterous, bouncy, sociable, and also incredibly stupid. Despite this, Midori and Kuu somehow managed to remain friends for many years. Even though she was more often than not rather annoying, Kuu had to admit she had a small soft spot for Midori.

Ayano on the other hand was much more similar to Kuu. She was quiet, shy, and somewhat of a wallflower. She didn't stick out, but she wasn't a complete loner, either. She was a nice person to hang around, but every so often, Kuu wasn't sure why, she got... strange vibes from Ayano. Every so often, vibes that made her skin crawl, or a slight sickness brew in her stomach.

Yet despite her aloof nature, Kuu enjoyed the company of her two unusual friends. They had known each other for a long time, and would most likely continue to be friends for the remainder of their high school years.

... that was, until Ayano became a hero.

Kuu remembered it well, the day Ayano was no longer the same. Something about Ayano had changed. Kuu couldn't describe what, but something had awoken inside her friend. Kuu suddenly realized that Ayano was no longer the girl she had known since elementary school. Or had she ever been that girl in the first place?

She wanted to talk to Ayano about it, but of course, she failed to put her feelings into words. So she acted the same as she always did: cold and aloof.

Midori was the same as always, if that meant anything.

Before long, Ayano's changes were starting to become much more noticeable. She had suddenly become much more aloof, swarmed with hero duties left, right and center, or so she claimed. While she was still attending school, she hardly ever spoke to Midori or Kuu anymore. Midori was constantly complaining about her.

"Yan-chan never responds to my texts anymore!" she whined to Kuu. "Ever since she's become a hero, she's been totally ignoring us!"

Kuu didn't respond to that, of course. What could she say? She only continued to observe Ayano from afar. And Ayano herself continued to change and grow. Her popularity was skyrocketing, and her hero rank was always increasing. She went from B to A Class in record time.
