Practice goes better than you expected, even if the boys work themselves for well over 14 hours a day to prepare as often as they can.
It's the morning of the concert, and you know you won't get another chance to see her so you slip your clothes on, just a simply tshirt and jeans and walk towards the door.
"Where are you going?" You hear Hobi ask. You turn to answer him but see everyone standing there, fully dressed and staring at you on the couches.
"I um.." you aren't sure why you are nervous. Maybe it's the guilt for not seeing her sooner. "There's somewhere important i need to be"
They stare at you as you walk to put on your chuck taylors and slide on your coat as the air is starting to get a little chilly in America.
You pause at the door turning to see all 7 eyes still on you. You may never get another chance to do this, so you decide to put your heart on the line.
"Would you guys like to meet the most important person in my life?"
Nobody hesitates, instead they all jump up and slide on coats and shoes and walk with you to the rental van, even if they share confused looks.
In the van, Namjoon sits beside you, leaving everyone else to literally squeeze into the one van.
He turns to face you after a few minutes on the road.
"This isn't the part you tell us you're married or anything right?" He tries to joke but the nerves in his voice make it shake.
You can't help but laugh at how absurd that sounds.
"No! God.. no, Joonie i am not or have never been married. No boyfriend, but she is very important to me"
"She? Noona do you.. like girls?" Jungkook speaks up from the very back.
"Ah~ that is a subject we are not about to discuss in the car. You guys will just see when we get there"
You refuse their many questions. You know it's natural for them to worry but you honestly need to focus on the guilt threatening to make you panic.
After a few more minutes, you pull up in front of the cemetary and Namjoon, Yoongi and Hobi all share looks as if it dawns on them where you are going now.
You pull the car over and climb out, waiting for the other boys to figure it out while you walk over to her tombstone on shakey legs.
~a/n: to add to the serendipity full circle of things, i find it amusing how The Truth Untold randomly came up on my shuffled playlist at this exact moment. ~
You kneel in front of her tombstone, brushing your fingertips across her name. Your mind drifts to the last time you were here and how devastated you were.
The grass has grown over by now, and it looks like someone was recently here to trim and clean the tombstone up because it looks pretty.
You hear the boys stop behind you but no one speaks. You swallow the lump in your throat before you talk, as if she can hear you.
"Hi eomma" you swallow thickly again, the tears building in your eyes. "I'm sorry i haven't been here in so long"
The wind picks up, blowing your hair into your eyes but you don't move it.
"Life is so different now. I did exactly as you said, i didn't let this keep me down." You blink the tears away but some stubbornly spill down your cheeks.
"Appa came to find me as you said he would. I have a feeling you had something to do with that. I.. i don't know how to thank you. You are the best eomma i could have ever asked for"
You hear sniffles behind you and you don't need to look to know it's your emotional Chim Chim.
"I want you to meet someone, more like 7 someone's. I finally found my home. I finally feel like i belong since you left." You laugh wetly, getting fully on your knees and bowing on the dirty ground, whispering into the grass.
"I love them, eomma. I love them more than i ever did and in more ways than when you were alive. They treat me well, just as i hope wherever you are, you are treated well and happy. I will visit again soon, i promise. Please continue to watch over not just me and Appa but them as well"
You wait a few minutes more before standing up and finally turning around to face the strangely quiet boys. The sight before you steals your breath and makes the tears fall from your cheeks freely.
All 7 of them are knelt down similar to how you were, bowed over as you just were. Each of them murmuring their own sweet things, thanks and praises.
You watch them silently as they did you until a sob rips its way out of your throat at how happy these boys make you.
They all look up at you but it's Taehyung and Jimin who get up first, coming over to you with wet faces. You laugh wetly once more at how sweet they look, using both your hands to wipe away their tears.
"Why are you guys crying?" You laugh again, using your shirt to clean their faces off.
"Hearing your sweet words, and realizing we were meeting your eomma for the first time, even in spirit.. it was such a heavy moment" Tae pouts cutely through his tears and you keep wiping his face dry.
"It means alot, jagia" Jimin kisses your palm as you go to wipe his tears away. "Nobody has ever introduced us to their parents before, especially not a girlfriend. Even though we know your Appa.. this felt entirely different, special"
"We are honored to be the only people you bring here, it shows us you really do love us as people" Namjoon says as he stands up, brushing off his pants.
"How did you-" you begin, but Jungkook speaks up after cleaning his knees.
"Noona, how emotional you got, and how nervous you were to ask us here. We all knew it meant something big to offer us to accompany you. Thank you"
You hug each of them, stealing a sweet kiss from each before smiling through new tears.
"I love you, i really really do." You wipe your own tears with your sleeve. "We need to go though before i'm responsible for you being late. I'll even buy you all food"
"I want doughnuts!" Jungkook speaks up excitedly.
"And coffee" Yoongi mumbles, heading to the van first.
You are last back in the van, pulling your phone out to take a picture for your memories before climbing back in the van.
