Are You Ready?

"You nearly scared me half to death" you scowl, holding your heart.

Hobi laughs before coming over to hug you.

"Sorry, pretty girl"

"H-how long were you here for?" You look at them nervously.

"Long enough" Namjoon says quietly.

You swallow thickly, pushing pause on the music so you can walk over to them.

"Do we really make you feel pressured, Noona?" Jungkook blinks up  at you with his big doe eyes. 

You sigh and sit on the sofa lining the wall and all of them sit omvthe floor in front of you, giving you their full attention.

"Sort of" you say but quickly blurt out more when you see the sad look on some of their faces. "But not on purpose!"

You sigh again and run your fingers through your hair.

"When i heard i was going to meet essentially 4 sets of parents in one trip it was.. alot. Not that i don't want to! I just.. i worry."

"About what?" Jin asks quietly, taking in all of your words.

"I mean, i'm not entirely Korean, i barely speak the language, i don't know what half of the food even is let alone how to cook it. I just.. want them to like me" you finish on a whisper.

"As someone who's parents have properly met you.. that isn't a worry. My parents, even my Noona doted over you and adored how happy you make me" Hobi smiles at you, reaching for your hand. "I think i can speak for everyone here when i say this. We're living our dream, successful, healthy and now because of you, we are all incredibly happier in ways we didn't know we were missing"

There's murmurs of agreement and you tear up happily, smiling at them.

"You.. you really want me to meet your families? You think i'm worthy?"

"Of that and more, jagi" Jimin smiles at you.

"We love you, Kitten. Our parents will too when they see that" Yoongi's soft voice finally speaks up.

"How about this" Namjoon speaks up, getting everyone's attention. "Why don't we invite all of our parents out tomorrow for dinner. Introduce them all at once, make it equal and fair and we can all get it out of the way."

"At the same time, hyung? Isn't that alot of.. pressure?" Tae speaks up, looking over at you.

"We are all in this together.. we do everything together as it is, and this relationship is between us all. I agree with Namjoon" Jin puts his hand on Namjoon's arm for support.

"I.. i'm in" you whisper. "If you are all positive your family will accept me, i'm in. I want.. i want them to like me.."

"Then it's settled" Namjoon rises to his feet, pulling you with him. "We will all make the arragements to bring our families here tomorrow. That includes Bang-ssi" he looks at you pointedly.

You nod, butterflies in your stomach fluttering at the look of love they all give you.

This is really happening..

Everyone's parent's agree, including your appa. On one condition, he wants you to spend the night at his house so he can personally take you there.

So that's where you find yourself that evening, at your appa's house having dinner just the two of you.

He wasn't sure what you liked so he went for pizza again.

You take a slice while he smiles at you.

"What is it?" You cover your mouth as you talk so you can chew.

"You've changed so much since coming here, y/n. I'm.. i'm really proud of the young lady you have become" he smiles and his eyes show nothing but love.

You put your pizza slice down and wipe your hands on your napkin, sudden emotional tears pricking in your eyes.

"Have i changed that much?"

"When you first got here.. you were so sad. Your eyes looked like they just went to war. In many ways you have." His voice is soft as he continues. "Now.. now i see how happy you are. Your eyes light up, and it's partly because of the boys but i think you have really blossomed as a young woman. I am so proud to have witnessed it myself"

You can't help it, you start to cry.

"Do you think she would be proud of me?"

"I do. I think she already was" he whispers, his own eyes shining with tears.

You two share a moment of silence before eating some more. When dinner is finished, you help him clean up and he hugs you tightly.

"About tomorrow.." he pulls away and smiles down at you. "Are you ready for this?"

You nod slowly.

"I'm worried, who wouldn't be, but i love them. I was afraid it was all so fast, that they wouldn't like me. The boys helped reassure me that they love me and i make them happy, and if their parents can see that then they will love me too"

"Aish" his tone takes on a playful tone. "When did all of my children become so grown up"

You laugh and push on his arm.

"Appa~"

He chuckles before kissing the top of your head and pulls away.

"Goodnight kiddo. You need plenty of rest"

"Goodnight appa" you kiss his cheek and retire to your room.

It takes forever but you manage to fall asleep eventually.
