You wake the next morning to a bag on the end of your bed with a note.
You pick up the note and read it, twice.
Daughter,
Here's some clothes. I hope you like them. Just like i hope you like it here. Also, you'll need a phone so here, my number is already programmed. I love you.
-BangYour stomach clenches, guilt making you frown. You treated him like crap yesterday.
You pull out the clothes and smile. They do look nice. A baggy white t-shirt, a jacket, jeans, timberland boots and an assortment of lady things.
The fashion style may be old, but considering you made the rash decision to not take much with you, you are grateful he even thought to get you some clothes.
The fact he knew your style makes your heart warm. You've always been more of a tomboy anyways.
You quickly take a shower, blow drying your waist length hair before sliding the clothes on, minus the shoes.
You pull the phone out and power it on, admiring it. You only could afford a crappy one back in America.
You notice a few contacts already programmed, none you know except one.
You:
Thanks for the clothes, Bang-ssi! I love them!BANG:
You're welcome sweetheart,
I had some help picking them out, so i hope you liked them. You:
Who helped you?Bang:
Someone you may know actually. He wears similar clothes. Well, used to. so when i saw you liked wearing jeans and baggy shirts i asked him to pick you out something for today. You:
Who?Bang:
Jeon Jungkook.
You know him, i assume.You:
Jungook? THE Jungkook picked out my clothes? No way.Bang:
Way. Now i have to get back to work, ill stop by later to take you somewhere nice. A surprise if you will. You put the phone back into your pocket, staring at yourself in the mirror. You have a new appreciation for these clothes now that you know who really bought them.
You aren't the fangirl type, so you react calmly. Deep down you feel warmth pool in your stomach at the lengths Bang and assumingly Jungkook went to to welcome you to Korea.
You pad downstairs to search for some food, realizing you haven't eaten since the pizza.
Luckily, you've been studying Korean since you found out you are half Korean, so you're at least able to read labels enough to find instant noodles. Your favorite.
You lose track of time, having put your headphones in and started dancing along to one of your favorite dance tunes from your favorite group. The familiar tune of Idol drifts through your ears and you dance along while waiting for your noodles to cook.
"I recognize that routine anywhere" you hear behind you, making you jump. You take off your headphones and spin around to see Bang smiling behind you.
He points to your over boiling noodles and you quickly go about putting them in a bowl.
"Hey! I thought you said later?" You put away the headphones and walk with Bang to the table, where you sit down and start eating.
"I got wind of something, so the surprise is moving sooner than i thought. Do you like bts?" He smiles wider at you.
"Most definitely! They're my favorite" you beam at him, showing off the stickers on your old phone.
"Do you have a bias?"
You shake your head, loving this question everytime you are asked, even if it's a bit weird that he's asking you.
"No" you take another bite of noodles before pushing them back to get your speech ready. "I'm an ot7"
He raises an eyebrow at you.
"Why is that?"
"When i think of bts, i don't think of one member being more special than the other. I dont say "oh Hobi is cuter than Jin" because it honestly makes me a little sad. They each are cute, talented, and offer so much to the group. Not one member is better than the other, all 7 are bts. I love them for different reasons, but none more than the other. All 7 of them make me a happier person just by being happy and.. themselves. If it makes any sense"
He throws his head back and laughs, a prideful twinkle in his eye.
"You sound really passionate"
"When it comes to my boys, yes. They helped me through so many problems in my life just by their music. Watching their v lives and just them being them.. they inspired me to continue dancing even when i was ready to give up. Even mom fell in love with their charms" you chuckle sadly, thinking of your mom.
His eyes grow sadder and he leans forward.
"Y/N. I'm so very sorry i left you to deal with all of that yourself. I.. i wasn't the best father. Sometimes i don't even feel like i deserve to be called that, that's why i don't push when you call me Bang, but.. i would really like the chance to get to know my daughter. She sounds like a wonderful young woman."
You smile softly, blinking away tears. Why are you so emotional lately? Must be close to your period.
"She is. Thanks to eomma" you really should get more comfortable speaking Korean now.
He holds his arms open to you and this time you come around the table and fall into them.
"I'd really like that too Bang. You are all i have left.."
"Soon, i hope to change that. When you're ready of course? That surprise is waiting for you" he embraces you tightly before pulling back.
"Now?" He nods so you go to throw away your barely eaten noodles and run to get your timberland boots, sliding them on before meeting Bang in the car.
It takes a little while but eventually you see the BigHit building. You turn to Bang.
"We're going to BigHit???"
"How would you like to meet bts?" Is all he says, your eyes growing as wide as they ever have before.
