When Real Life Hits

The next few weeks go by rather easily. The boys all take turns being 'appa' if you need sleep or a shower, or even a break.

Even Yoongi has warmed up, he's the first to grab one of them and coo at their little faces.

The babies are now just shy of a month old when you get a phone call from your Appa.

"Hey sweetheart how are my grandbabies?"

"Great! They ready have the boys wrapped around their fingers" you laugh.

"Is Seokjin around? He didn't answer my call"

You look around before getting up to the kitchen and Jin is currently eating lunch. He looks up when you walk in.

"Yeah, he's here why?"

"Can you both come to my office for a meeting?"

You have an uneasy feeling in your stomach.

"Yeah, be there in 10"

You hang up and Jin raises an eyebrow at you.

"My appa needs to see us both, like kow" he nods and puts his food away while you go off and ask Jimin and Tae to watch the babies for a bit. They naturally agree, as they're already holding them while watching tv.

You and Jin hurry to BigHit and immediately go up to your appa's room and knock on the door.

"Come in"

You open the door and you both come in, Jin shutting the door behind you. You both sit across from him and your appa let's out a deep sigh.

"As you know, y/n. Jin is turning 28 in a matter of days."

Jin's eyes grow sad as he looks at you. As if he knows where this is going.

"I tried to get him a pardon but he asked to go"

You look between them.

"What does that mean?" You whisper, afraid of the answer.

"It means, Nae Sarang, i'm going to the military. In a matter of 2 weeks" his voice is quiet.

You look at him in disbelief. As an army, you knew this day would come. You didn't even realize it was so soon.

"But.."

"I want to. It's mandatory, so i want to help my country. This was decided long before i met you.." he grabs your hands but you pull away, tears spilling down your cheeks.

"I know you have to.. i just.. i won't be the same without you.." you try not to whimper but the thought of 2 entire years without Seokjin in your life makes your heart break.

"I've given Seokjin the rest of the time off, to spend with you" your appa whispers.

"No. No he needs this with everyone, appa. I can't leave my babies just to be with him alone no matter how it hurts" he considers it before thinking.

"Then the weekend before he leaves, i can arrange for all of you to leave for the weekend"

"Thank you" you whisper, getting up to your feet and walking out before you really start to cry.

"Nae Sarang.." Jin starts once the door is closed. "I'm sorry.. it's unavoidable.. even if we asked for a pardon, it isn't fair to other idols. What person would i be to say i'm better than everyone else?"

You nod and he pulls you into his chest so you can cry.

"I'm sorry.. it isn't forever, i promise that"
