Snape's POV

So recently, there was this rumor going around and I think it might concern the safety of our students. I was about to go to Dumbledore's office to discuss this matter when I discovered (y/n) is standing right in front of my door. What is she doing here? Well, not that I mind actually... But she looked like she needed help with something important.

"Actually, I'm here for trick-or-treating," she replied with that innocent smile of hers.

Okay, scratch the "something important" off. Seriously, trick or treating? Why would she come all the way down here just for trick or treating?

"Yup, trick-or-treating is basically-," I interrupted her before she started rambling about trick or treating. Did she seriously think I don't know what trick-or-treating is?

But still, I took my hidden stash of Cauldron Cake and gave it to her. Trust me, I don't even know what I did that for.

She smiled happily like a kid in a toy store before teasing me. As she took the Cauldron Cake from my hand, her fingers brushed my palm. Her fingers were smooth and delicate, just like the petals of a white rose. My heart rate increased, I glanced over to her and noticed her face turned slightly red.

"I don't have the reason to do so," I stated. "Besides, you are slightly less annoying compared to the dunderheads." Okay, those words just rolled out of my tongue. I was shocked I said that out loud. Somehow, I locked eyes with (y/n) and those eyes... Her (e/c) eyes...

My heart was pounding like a blacksmith's hammer in my chest and my face heated up dramatically. I looked away from (y/n), hoping she didn't notice anything.

"Well... I-I suppose I should get going now," she walked to the door.

Okay, I think she noticed it. But I had to make sure of something...

"(y/n)" Okay, why did I call her by her first name.

"Y-yes, Professor?"

On second thoughts, I think I shouldn't ruin her day. It's Halloween anyway. "Nevermind,"

"If you say so," she left my office.
