"Alright, Transfiguration and Divination..." Hermione mumbled as she stuffed some books into her school bag. She glanced over her shoulder to figure I was still sleeping.

"Hey, (y/n)! Rise and shine!" she pulled my blanket away.

"Ugh... 5 more minutes..." I groaned.

I felt some garments took a soft landing on my face. "Hurry up and get dressed!" that girl was wrapping her Gryffindor scarf around her neck neatly.

"Thanks," I marched to the bathroom and got ready for the day.

We finished breakfast and proceed to Transfigurations class. We were learning about animangus, so Professor Mcgonagall gave us a demonstration. She turned into a cat in the blink of an eye and everyone was impressed.

Being the student who loves to mess around, I had a brilliant idea. "Accio, cat feather," I whispered while secretly waving my wand.

"What are you doing?" Hermione whisper-shouted.

"Watch," I approached the cat and held the cat feather right in front of her face. I waved the feather around, and she tried pouncing it. Pfft... Cat's instincts. She snapped out of it eventually, just as she was about to transform back to human, I rubbed her neck and she purred. The whole class died of laughter.

"Hey, can I pet her too?" Ron asked while giggling.

"Go ahead," I encouraged him.

"I want to pet her too," Seamus approached me.

"2 Galleons per stroke," I sticked my tongue out.

"Enough!" the cute feline turned back into an old lady. The whole class fell dead silent; you could even hear a pin drop.

"Miss (l/n), please stay back after class. I would like to talk to you." the Professor stood up and dusted herself off.

"Yes, Professor." I walked back to my seat knowing I was in trouble, but it was worth it. I had been wanting to do this for a long time, plus her reaction was PRICELESS.

Professor Mcgonagall carried on with her lessons as if nothing happened. After she had dismissed the class, I stayed back just as she wanted me to. She gave me a good scolding for about 15 minutes straight and I just stood there awkwardly with a tight-lipped smile.

I realized I was 20 minutes late to Divination, so I tried sneaking into the class without anyone noticing, but those goddamn hinges squeaked so loud like there was no tomorrow. Seriously, someone really needed to lubricate those bad boys.

Everyone turned their attention from whatever they were doing to my figure standing by the door.

"Why are you late, young lady?" asked the frilly haired Professor.

"It's just Professor Mcgonagall wanted to speak to me after class," I explained.

"Alright, have a seat," she nodded.

I plonked down next to Hermione.

"Now, I want all of you to divide into pairs. Collect a teacup from the shelf, come to me, and I will fill it. Then sit down and drink until only the dregs remain. Swirl these around the cup 3 times with your left hand, then turn the cup upside-down on its saucer; wait for the last of the tea drain away, then give your cup to your partner to read. You will interpret the patterns using page 5 and 6 of Unfogging the Future. I shall move among you, helping and instructing," Professor Trelawney instructed before the room was filled with clanking noises.

After we had finished drinking our tea, I switched cups with Hermione.

"Okay, now what?" I asked my partner.

"I don't know..." she mumbled as she flicked through the pages. She was just as clueless as I was.

"What am I supposed to do with a nearly empty cup of tea?"

Professor Trelawney whirled around as we complained in cluelessness. "Let me see that, my dear." she said reprovingly to Hermione, sweeping over and snatching my cup from her. Everyone went quiet to watch.

Professor Trelawney was staring into the teacup, rotating it anti-clockwise, "The falcon... My dear, you have a deadly enemy,"

She lowered her huge eyes to my cup again and continued to turn it, "The club... an attack. Dear, dear, this is not a happy cup..."

Everyone was staring, transfixed at Professor Trelawney, who gave the cup a final turn, gasped, then screamed. She then sank into a vacant armchair, her glittering hand at her heart and eyes closed. "My dear girl, my poor dear girl- no, it's kinder not to say- no, don't ask me..."

"What is it, Professor?" I inquired, I didn't really know what to expect.

Everyone had got to their feet and crowded around Hermione and my table, pressing close to Professor Trelawney's chair to get a good look at my cup.

"My dear," Professor Trelawney's huge eyes opened dramatically, "You have the Grim; the giant spectral dog that haunts churchyards! My dear girl, it is an omen- the worst omen- of death!"

"W-what?" I was baffled and could barely speak.

"This is ridiculous!" Hermione dragged me out of the classroom a few moments before the bell rang.

"Don't mind her, (l/n). The prophecy can't be true!" Hermione assured me.

"But... it's Professor Trelawney. Her predictions are mostly true," I hugged my books tightly.

"Hey, everything's gonna be alright," Ron patted me on my back.

"Thanks, guys." I smiled weakly.

I planted some knocks with my knuckles on the sizable oak door.

"Enter," said a voice from the other side of the door. I twisted the knob and let myself in.

"I assume you're here for your Occlumency class," Snape got up from his desk and slowly decreasing our distance

"Why else would I be here then?" I rolled my eyes at him.

Snape pointed to the chair on the other side of the room, "Sit,"

"He could've said 'Please sit there' or something... What am I? A dog? Would it kill him to be less rude for a moment?" I complained under my breath as I sat on that chair.

"Perhaps you would like to deliver your opinion, Miss (l/n)?" He might have heard my complaints.

"Nope, not at all, Professor." I shook my head quickly.

"I am going to attempt to break into your mind," he took his stance a couple feet across from me. "Now, you must resist; you may use your wand to disarm me or defend yourself in any other way you can possibly think of," Snape pointed his wand towards me. He nodded and looked at my pocket-- prompting me to arm myself.

I nodded and took a deep breath while moving from the chair onto my feet. I took my wand out from my pocket. Snape watched me closely, his attention flicked from my now pointed wand to my eyes.

"Brace yourself... Legilimens!" Snape struck before I had the chance to brace myself, let alone counter his spell. I was knocked back onto the chair by a strong force. The office that was once in front of me, now dissolved into series of flickering scenes.
