Chapter XIX

Live dangerously

Y/n's pov

Soon, Jasper was explaining every detail to defeat and kill a newborn.

I was trying to grasp everything he was saying.He then asked for Edward to step forward to fight Carlisle.Edward ran swiftly towards Carlisle and lifted him up and smashed him to the ground.. making him surrender...but, out of nowhere, Carlisle stood up and pushed him down with a hard thud.Jasper smirked, saying and passing by them,"One more thing, never turn your back on your enemy!".

Jasper then calls out to Emmet and said,"Don't you take it easy on me..", smirking."Oh, hell no!"Emmet said getting in front of him and beginning to fight.Emmet ran swiftly towards him and Jasper spread out his hands preparing to catch him.Jasper is forced backwards with Emmet's strength but soon pushes him into a very far distance with unbelievable strength.Emmet was covered in mud but got up and shouted,"Again!"."Don't worry you'll get your chance later.He looked towards me, and motioned me towards him with his fingers.

I looked at the wolf pack, asking them through my mind,if I could go,but only I could read my father's mind and he told me to be careful out there.I jumped down to stand a little away from him,and calming myself to fight and soon got into position and smirked at him, thinking that, hopefully, my intense training will get me through this mock fight with my imprint.He started to get himself into position returning my smirk.

I ran with all my strength towards him and did a jump and flip to stand on my feet behind him,"Too scared to fight me, love?"he asked teasing."You wish"I said and grinned rather devilishly.I blocked his swinging arms before they could attack me,but him being too strong escaped my grasp and was aiming for my ribs,I dodged his attack,by jumping off of him, and landing behind him once again.I smiled, teasing him and he was leaning in to kiss me...

I used this opportunity to distract him and pin him to the ground,by his hands and back towards me,I leaned down to his ear and whispered,"You really thought you could beat me,huh?".He chuckled and I moved back from the incredibly close position.I was finally aware of the eyes on us.Nick was glaring at us both.I broke my gaze away from Nick to look at Jas but he was already looking at Nick.He climbed down and looked between me and Jasper...

I broke the awkward silence by introducing him,"Jas,this is Nick,my best friend and Nick,this is Jasper....my imprint.."."Why the long pause, y/n?You should have told me earlier...huh?"Nick said with a harsh tone approaching me closely."Hey, Don't talk to her like that..."Jas spoke up."What's your problem?!I'm talking to her!You wanna fight me don't you?!? Come on!!fight me!Or are you too afraid?!"He said glaring deep into Jasper's eyes.Soon, they were walking away from each other, beginning to fight,Nick took off his sweatshirt and threw it aside..."Jas... please don't-please!-"I tried to stop him by grabbing his arm.But he didn't listen to me.He pulled me aside slowly, making me stand away from them both.They started fighting like it was a fight to death.Nick threw Jas into the air kicking him with his leg.I was trying to go to them but Alice stopped me, saying that I'll hurt myself.Jasper stood up and lifted him into the air and shoved him to the hard ground.Nick groaned and Jasper held out a hand not wanting to continue the fight but instead Nick grabs him to stand but smacks his fist into his ribs, sending him a few feet away from him,I broke out of Alice's grasp and ran to stand in front of them stopping both of them from hurting themselves."Stop this at once!!!!"I shouted."Nick! What are you doing?!Huh?!He didn't ask you to fight with him right??What's wrong with you??!!!"I practically screamed into his face,"You started this!!!"I say loudly.Tears were streaming down my face and I felt Jasper's hand on my shoulder, trying to make me calm.But,my eyes were still on Nick, trying to understand why he would do all this.Nick opens his mouth to say something but I could only see tears in his eyes.He just stepped back,phased and ran into the forest.I felt myself leaning into Jasper's arms and crying onto his chest.I could hear my dad apologize to Carlisle for the chaos that just happened.And Carlisle saying not to worry about it.It was just like my grandmother said,the two foes were coming together.Jasper's voice broke me out of my thoughts,he placed one of his hands on my waist and the other on the back of my head, holding me gently,and kissed the top of my head saying,"You feeling okay,love?"."Umm,no-"I said,my voice shaky.He shushed me."Let's go somewhere secluded okay?"he said and I replied with an okay,in a very low voice.I sensed that my father was looking at Jasper and me but my dad just nodded his head towards us like he understood.We made our way into the meadow so that I can clear my mind.Jasper held my hand all along."I don't know why he would do this! He's my best friend,Jas!Yes I forgot to tell him about imprinting on you but...he just.... doesn't seem to like it!"I said still crying."Hey,hey everything wil be alright,okay?"He said lifting my chin with his index finger to look into his eyes."Yes, you're right, I am going to apologise to him...for everything..."I said, hoping he will still be able to forgive me."We're gonna train everyday right?"I ask Jasper."Yes,we need to be ready for Maria's army..."he said and hugged me.I sank into the feeling of his coldness and my warmth, thinking about my future,which the prophecy predicted...
