(Lou's POV)
"It's alright, just sleep in for today. I'll go to the store today."
I kissed the brunettes forehead as softly as I could. The brunette pulled the blanket over himself and fell back asleep. A small laugh escaped my lips. How could someone be this cute? I asked myself, as I left the room. What happened last night wasn't new at all. Unfortunately, Nolan hasn't been able to move on from his experience with Michael. I knew he was trying to, but I also knew he wasn't ready yet for anything too sexual. The only thing we did was tease each other sometimes. That was fine with me.

After I'd bought the food, I was on my way back home. The weight from the bags caused my palms to sting, and the sun shone directly at my eyes, as if it wanted me to go blind. Suddenly, I heard a voice call me from behind. I stopped and turned around. I frowned a little at the green figure that stood behind me.
"Hello... Ox."
Ox: Hey, Lou! I uh... I was just wondering if you had access to the gauntlet.
I glared at him. I guess he was one of the dolls I just couldn't bring myself to forgive. I hated him just as much as he hated me. And we both knew it.
"What for?"
Ox: Oh, well... I thought maybe we could turn it into a hotel or museum. Ya know... Something useful.
I gritted my teeth. His accent annoyed the hell out of me. I wanted him to shut up so bad.
"Yeah, sure. Whatever."
I handed him they key from my pocket. As soon as the keys plopped into his hands, we locked eyes again. He hated me. It was as clear as day.
Ox: I don't hate you, ya know. I'm just still in the process of forgiving you.
I rolled my eyes. That's exactly what a person who hated me would say.
"Yeah okay. See ya around I guess... Ox. "I said his name as if it was a swear. I turned away and made my way towards home. Stupid green bean. I cursed at him under my breath. I suddenly froze.
The gauntlet...
Why do I feel nauseous all of a sudden?
I turned to look behind me. Ox was already gone. My stomach seemed to flip. Why do I feel like this? I turned on my heel. After a moment, my feet began to move. With each step, my pace got faster, and my anxiety got worse. When I caught up to Ox, he already found the button that was locked, with the transparent lid I had placed so long ago. He used the key to open it.
Ox: Lou? Everything okay?
I struggled to find words.
Lou: Uh, no... I uh, just-He pressed down the button gently, causing the ground to open up in a spiral formation. Ugh I'm too late!
The house rose up, and stopped with a little of a creak. I stood still. Ox still waited for an answer like the idiot he is.
"Um... Never mind. It's not important."
He shrugged and began to walk the other direction.
Ox: I'm gonna go find some dolls to help. Maybe you can help later?
I set the bags on the ground, as Ox turned around the corner. I was left alone now. I stared at the building. I'm not sure what I expected to happen, but I felt it was best to assume the worst. I approached the house and ringed the doorbell.
No answer.
I opened the door and looked inside. There was no movement at all.
"Hello?"
No answer.
"Micheal? I know you're in here, just come out already. "
No answer.
My heart beat out of my chest as I checked every room. There was Noone. It felt as if someone had just punched me in the gut.Ox: Lou?
I let out a scream. And I growled at him.
"Don't do that!"Ox: Sorry... Why are you so tense?
"N-nothing. I'm fine."
I pushed past him and left. He's not here. This doesn't make any sense. Where is he? I thought about Nolan. I thought about what we'd gone through in the past. What he'd gone through in the past. I bit the inside of my cheek as I picked up the grocery bags. I wanted to scream profanities. But I knew that wouldn't solve anything.
I plucked my key out of my pant pocket, and entered the building which I called "home". I set the bags gently down on the kitchen counter. The instant I did, the sound of broken glass could be heard from upstairs. A shout came along with it. I froze for a split second. Please no. Please, please, please no.
As if by instinct, I grabbed one of the kitchen knives and rushed upstairs. I could hear Bear barking in our room like a mad dog. Please, no. Please, God no.
I gripped the knife tightly. And I took a breath before opening the door.
