Having poured his heart out to Shibisu, Khun felt a little clearer on his choices.
"So basically, Khun, the way I see it, your choices are to either follow the meticulous plan you have been forming since probably even before you were conceived in the womb. Or you give it all up for some guy you met last week."
"He's not just some guy."
Grinning at Khun's indignant response, Shibisu stood up from his seat.
"Whatever, I'm just saying it how it is. Anyway, you have some work to do so if you can at least get that done, then you can start thinking about your personal life. Just remember, your engagement party is on Saturday and it is Wednesday today so you only have a few days to make your decision."
"Uuurrrgggghhhh"
Leaving the room, Shibisu was smiling. This was the first time he had ever seen Khun like this in all the years he had known him and it was a refreshing sight. To find out that the emotionless, impregnable Khun Aguero Agnes could actual fall victim to the emotion that he had claimed didn't exist in the first place.
He chuckled. He knew that Khun would be having another internal fight with himself right now but, after talking things through with him, he trusted Khun to make the right decision. For himself and for everyone else.
That night, Khun left work late. His troubles had been distracting him meaning everything had taken that much longer however, he thought that may have been for the best as, when he left the office, the florist was already closed and he didn't think he could face Bam right now.
Finally reaching his apartment, Khun went straight to bed hoping that sleep would take over and distract him from his feelings. It was a prayer that wasn't answered.
By the time his alarm rang in the morning, Khun felt haggard. He had spent the night tossing and turning, going over things in his head. And yet, even after a sleepless night, Khuns head was not any clearer.
Dragging himself out of bed, he prepared himself and left for work.
The same walk he had been taking for years, now left him with a hollow feeling in his stomach. While recently his excitement grew the closer he got to his office and the florist, today he was scared to walk by.
His heart raced as he passed by the florist and he couldn't stop his gaze glancing through the store front. It was empty.
His heart fell, disappointed that he didn't see Bam even though he didn't want to see him.
Confused, frustrated and sad, Khun entered his office building to get on with his day.
"Morning Khun. How are you feeling today? Wow you look terrible!"
"Yeah, thanks, Isu..."
Sarcasm tainted Khun's words.
"As you can tell, I didn't exactly sleep last night."
"Right, so no decision then?"
Sighing, Khun relaxed in his seat as Shibisu approached his desk.
"Nope. I don't know what to do. I know what I should do but.... I just... it doesn't feel right."
"You've only got a couple more days Khun, and if you choose Bam it would be best to speak to him sooner rather than later."
"I know. I was thinking I need to go and see him anyway. Even if it is only to apologise for now. I'll go down to see him at lunch so keep my diary clear."
"Aye aye captain!"
Shibisu left Khun's office after giving him a rundown of the days itinerary. It was then up to Khun to attempt to focus until it was time for lunch.
