Khun returned to his office, turning over what Jinsung had told him in his mind.
It's true they were similar situations but they were also different. Khun didn't care for his family or family name. He wasn't after the approval of his siblings or his father, what he wanted was the connections and privileges he would get from being in his fathers favour. At least until he had made them his own and could start something himself from scratch.
So whilst what he had learnt from Jinsung was a small relief, it didn't really help him make his decision.
Could he really sacrifice everything he had been working for since childhood for love? For what could just be a potential fling and nothing more? Khun hated uncertainty and, when other peoples feelings are involved, there is nothing more uncertain. Emotions can change. They can't be controlled and he was learning that the hard way right now.
He spent the rest of the day attempting to concentrate on his work whilst he daydreamed of Bam and what sort of life they could have together.
Evening soon came and Khun, yet again was late leaving the office. The florists lights were off and Khun had no hope in seeing Bam that day.
He headed home for yet another sleepless night.
The next day, Khun repeated the same commute as the day prior. His emotions were the same and, as he passed by the florist, there was no one inside.
He sighed making his way into his own office building.
"We have a jam packed day today, meetings non stop. I'll have to bring you something to eat during one of the meetings. On the plus side, you should be done just before 7pm so you'll get to leave a bit earlier today than you have the past couple of days."
As Shibisu explained Khun's day, Khun was frustrated that he wouldn't get chance to sneak out and see Bam however, it was a stroke of luck that he would be able to leave before the florists closed.
With that thought in his mind, he focused on the day ahead.
The clock kept ticking and Khun was impatient for his meetings to end. When they finally did he realised he only had five minutes until the florist next door would close. He rushed to gather his things and practically ran from his office room to the outside world.
The lights are still on!
Relief washed over him as he approached and pushed open the door.
*Ding Dong*
The usual chime sounded out and yet Khun was left disappointed when he saw the person sitting behind the florist counter.
"It's the Khun kid again. I might have to report you for stalking."
Jinsung joked as he called Khun over to join him.
"Come, take a seat. You won't find Bam today. I sent him off to run some errands, maybe the fresh air will do him some good. Ah, let me lock up so we're not interrupted, I figured you would come back today."
Doing as he was told, Khun took a seat at the counter, awaiting Jinsung's return as he asked after Bam.
"How is he?"
"How do you think? And for someone like him, it's a real big problem when his emotions take over."
"What do you mean?"
Jinsung returned to his seat after locking the front door.
"The boy has talent and passion. The reason he's so good at what he does is because he lets his emotions guide him. He'd really stepped up a level this past week as well, he was doing his best work. But, well, ever since he found about, you know...."
