KC POV
"Mom when am I gonna learn to drive?" I asked. "How about tomorrow?" She said. I couldn't believe my ears! "Tomorrow! Are you serious?!" I shrieked with excitement. "I don't see why not, you are 16." She smiled. I called told Aleah and Dan the good news. "I'm watching you take the test." She smirked. "Aleah your gonna make me nervous." I giggled. "So what? You'll do fine." I just chose to believe her and went on with my day, practicing. Turns, stop lights, I practiced it all. When I woke up the next day I jumped up and ran downstairs. "MOM DAD!" I screamed. I was already dressed and ready to go. "Honey it's 9:30 in the morning on a Saturday let us sleep in!" My mom grouched. "Nope! We need to go NOWWWWWW!" I whined. This was easy because I was an only child. "Honey I'll go I have work today anyway." My dad sighed. "YES THANK YOU!" I shouted and I gave them both a peck on the cheek. Then I had a quick bowl of cereal and then we left to go get my license. Man I was excited I hoped I would do well. "Get in this car right here and wait for your instructor." Some lady muttered. "Thanks a lot ." I shot back. She gave me a dirty look. I didn't care though I always knew how to dealt with rude people. About 5 minutes later my drivers instructor arrived. A tall man with a big nose and the thickest glasses I've ever seen. "Are you miss KC?" He asked. "I am!" I said cheerfully. "Then let's get started, please make sure you are buckled in and the keys are in the ignition." He said with a very monotone voice. "Already done." I said. "Great then please start the car." He said. So I started the car and then I got kinda nervous. "Put your foot on the gas pedal and start driving." he muttered. I started at a slower pace but I managed to keep it normal. "Please turn right and then left." He said. That confused me a little bit but I got the hang of it. "Ok now I would like you to do a U-turn." He said in a louder voice. "Um what?" I said shakily. I didn't practice this yet, one wrong move and I'm screwed. "Miss, please do the U-turn!" He said annoyed. "Okay okay! I'm sorry! I'll do the U-turn." I said scared. "Thank you." he gave me a dirty look. I tried my best to do a U-turn in the empty parking lot and it was really scary. The fastest and widest turn I've ever done. "Okay how was that?" I asked scared. "Well the reason I asked you to do one of those was to determine your final score, so let me add up your points and I'll be right back." He explained. I sat there in the car anxious. I was sure that last part would make me fail. He came back to the car and aggressively tapped on the window. I rolled it down and gave him a worried look. "Miss KC, you passed." He smiled and gave me some papers to fill out. "Go in that building to your left to get your license printed out." He said and he walked off. I jumped out of the car and ran to Aleah and my dad. "I passed!" I screamed and I gave them both hugs. We filled out some papers and got my picture taken for my license, when it printed out my face looked demented but I was to excited to care. "Your next, hehe." I said to Aleah. We went to my favorite restaurant for lunch to celebrate, sesame sea. It was the best day ever. Dan called me in the middle of lunch, I picked up immediately. "Hey Dan!" I said cheerfully. "Sounds like someone passed their drivers test." he said, "congratulations babe." He made me smile for what seemed like hours. I had to hang up early so I could finish lunch. When we got back home me and Dan talked for hours, until I realized how late it was there and I hung up so he could sleep.
