DAN POV
Today I'm going to meet KC's parents. Her mum and dad. She is an only child and I'm nervous about what they will think of me. I walked up to her door and knocked, Aleah drove me. And waited in the car. KC immediately opened it, she was dressed quite nice. "You look lovely." I said. She smiledand then her mum walked from behind her. "Hello Dan! I'm KC's mom! But please, call me Alice." She said with a warm smile. But then, her dad walked up. "Hello Daniel." He gave me a firm handshake. "Well are you going to come in? Or just stand there?" He said in a rude tone. "Mike!" Mrs. Taylor scolded. I walked in and sat down. "So um, mike..." I said. "You will call me Mr. Taylor! Only my FRIENDS call 9with a stern look. "ok boys come get some food." Her mother said. Dinner was silent. I sat next to KC. There wasn't much of a conversation and I felt pretty awkward. When we finished with dinner I decided I should go so I said goodbye to KC and her parents and left. "Oh my god aleah!" She waited in the car the whole time. "What. I had no where else to go." she answered. "well you didn't have to wait in the car the whole time I was in there for like 2 hours." she was so silly. "I don't care just get in its already 8." She said. And she took me to my hotel. I set an alarm 7:00 so I could be at KC's house at 8 sharp just like her dad said. I realized though when I woke up I pressed snooze. "Shit!" I said. It was 7:50 when I woke up. I had 10 minutes to get up and get ready! I used dry shampoo and didn't bother to straighten my hair. There just wasn't enough time. I pulled on some black jeans and a black shirt. Aleah had just pulled up when I ran outside. "Dan you don't have a suit on!" "I know I woke up at 7:50 and this is all I had time for." I said. "I can tell your hair isn't even straightened!" She laughed. My hair was quite curly this morning, of all mornings of course. When I got there her father gave me a disgusted look. "Son, you can't show up to court like that!" I felt like such an idiot. "I know I'm sorry sir, I woke up a bit late." I gave him an apologetic look and his face lightened up a bit. "Ahaha typical first timer, well I'll let it slide just this once but lesson 1. Always dress nice, that makes you look professional and one step closer to winning your case. And his words repeated throughout my mind, "one step closer to winning your case, one step closer."
