A two tailed fox ran around a cosy living room awaiting his older brothers arrival. As if on queue he heard the front door open and shuffling of two people enter the house.
"Hey buddy, we're home"!
"Sonic"!
The young genius runs over to the two and pulls them into a hug. He grabs their wrists and pulls them into the living space which is decorated with a colourful Christmas tree, red, green and white lights and many other different assortments.
The two namesaked kid plops down on the red sofa and pats a spot next to him. Sonic chuckles and sits next to him as Amy goes into the kitchen to grab cookies and milk.
"You excited for Christmas bud"?
"Uh duh. Of course I am"!
Sonic ruffles his hair and pulls him into a tight side cuddle. Tails hugs him back and watches Amy when she enters the room with a small plate of cookies and slender glass of milk.
"You forgot the carrot". He points out.
"Hmm"?
"For Rudolph of course. I'll get it".
He jumps off the sofa and runs over to the fridge and grabs a carrot from the bottom draw. The genius runs back into the living room and places the carrot next to the plate of cookies on the chocolate brown coffee table.
"There. Now it's perfect".
"What about stockings bud"?
Amy sits down next to the speedster as he wraps an arm around her shoulders once again. She leans on his shoulder and smiles at the young fox. Tails himself jumps up and nods to his brother as he runs up the stairs to grab the mentioned item.
"He always gets like this".
"Yeah well it's an exciting time for a kid".
"So do you. Just not around him".
"I have to stay cool. I can't go jumping around the house and cheering at the top of my lungs...I can do that on my own terms".
"Oh sonic". She giggles.
The two await tails as they snuggle by the fire, in the warmth, on Christmas Eve. Nothing could go wrong.
