Red, gold, green and white Christmas lights glistened in the background as a very merry Christmas tree took the stage. It stood proudly in the living room where seven mobians danced the night away.
Outside on the small porch a round man with a small sincere smile held a drink in hand as he leaned his arms on the porch fence. He watched the stars twinkle in the night sky and the snow delicately fall into place on the ground.
"Hey eggface". A friendly and confident voice suddenly greeted as the owner of the voice leaned on the porch fence next to the man.
"Sonic". He greeted in return.
"What ya doin outside"?
"Watching the night sky. What about you"?
"Checking on where ya went of course".
"Your friends are waiting for you hedgehog. You should see them".
"Ah don't worry I'm sure they can last a few minutes".
Eggman nodded his head towards a pink hedgehog who stood laughing away with a small bunny.
"I think I've given her a present to last a lifetime". Sonic chuckled.
"And that is"? Eggman asked with a small smirk.
"Let's just say it included mistletoe".
Eggman gave a hearty laugh and patted sonic on the back before aiming towards the front door.
"You coming"?
"I'll be there in a sec". He responded softly and looked back to the sky.
"Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night". He mutters with a smile before walking back inside.
