After realizing what I was doing, I quickly released the hug and slowly walked away, laughing.
'I just met her and this is how I act? Geez, how embarrassing can I get?' Mentally facepalming. I thought to myself. "Um..Hey?" She said as she looked at me weirdly and laughed. "Hey! I'm so sorry for that, Y/n. In my defense, I was just surprised to see you. Plus, it's a force of habit." I looked away, feeling a bit embarrassed.
I heard Shoyo gasp. "You!!" Y/n looked in his direction and smiled "Oh, hey!" she replied kinda confused as to why he looked mad. Hinata looked back at us and said "She's the one I talked about just now! She thought I was a kid."
Shoyo glanced at me and Y/n, looking puzzled. He asked, "You two know each other?" I nodded, feeling slightly embarrassed. "Yeah, it's actually quite a funny story. I ran into her on the street earlier today and Instead of saying sorry, I asked for her number.." Before I could finish the story, Tsukishima scoffed. "How dumb can you be? I'm genuinely impressed with your thought process on this one." He remarked, wearing a smug expression while staring at me. Y/n chuckled a bit while looking at me but quickly whispered an apology.
I felt a rush of heat to my cheeks but managed to muster a smile. "I blurted it out! It's not like I have control over what I say!" I admitted, trying to laugh it off. Sugawara then karate-chopped my head and called me an idiot whilst shaking his head. "You really are something else." he said, his eyes twinkling.
Tsukishima rolled his eyes but there was a hint of a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. "Next time, Maybe try using your brain. I knew it was small but I guess that was an overstatement." He remarked, though his tone was less harsh now. I glanced over at Y/n, hoping she wasn't too put off by the whole ordeal. To my relief, she smiled warmly and said, "Actually, I thought it was kind of sweet. A bit strange, but sweet."
"See? It wasn't all bad." I said, puffing my chest out feeling a bit more confident. "Hey, I was this close to throwing a punch at you." Y/n quipped, raising an eyebrow. "Like you could even throw a punch..." I muttered, avoiding eye contact. "Should I show you?" she proposed, to which I nodded in agreement.
"Where should I punch?" Y/n asked. I looked around, smirked, then stood behind Asahi and pushed him forward towards her. "Right here!" I deviously said. Asahi looked startled. 'I'm so lucky most of the team went home already. I would've gotten in trouble right now.' I thought, forgetting Sugawara was there.
"NIHONOYAAAAA!" I turned to the noise but was greeted with another karate chop to the head. "ARE YOU STUPID?" he said, grabbing me and looking angrily into my eyes. I hear Asahi beside me trying to calm him down but honestly..he's the one who needs to calm down. I swear this man is too worried.
"Ahem" Y/n fake coughed, which made us all stop to look at her. She smiled and said, "Even if you didn't stop Nishinoya-san here, I still don't have it in me to throw a punch at that guy." Y/n pointed to Asahi and I laughed proudly. "So, you CAN'T throw a punch huh? Just admit it." I said smirking at her. She chuckled and replied "No, it's not that. He just looks too much like a fuzzy bear. I'm too soft for that" She looked down, embarrassed.
