Olivia POV:

I hate my life. I'd just left my apartment, silently and sneakily on the outside while fuming on the inside. I don't know how much longer I can do this for, I can't keep dealing with him drunk.

As I walked down the street I hugged my thin cardigan closer to my body, it was the middle of fall and was getting colder by the day. I didn't think to grab a warmer jacket, I was pulled out of my thoughts to think back to what happened the night before.

We had gone out to a bar, I wasn't super up to it as he'd been getting way too drunk the past few times we had gone. Although I can never say no to him and his stupid smile. It started out great; he stayed with me and we had a few laughs while chatting.

That's what couples are supposed to do when they go out together. It was lovely, it was reminding me why I fell in love with him in the first place all those years ago.

People change.

It quickly turned sour; he kept drinking and drinking. By the time I thought to cut him off it was too late, his mood changed so suddenly. One minute he seemed fine conversing with me, the next he was screaming profanities at me while everyone was staring. His deep voice kept cracking the louder he got. It was embarrassing.

"You..."
*hic*
"You hate me!" He screamed.

"What? No of course I don't." I placed my small hand across his big one. He instantly pulled it away.

"Hey! I never said you could touch me! Your a bitch." He'd lashed out and pulled his hand away instantly. I felt tears spring in the corner of my eyes at the insult, but I refused to let them fall. I refused to let him see me cry. It would only make things worse.

"Why-" he cut me off.

"Because! I know you hate when I drink, you only agreed to come with me because you wanna keep me in line! You cut me off at home, I constantly feel the stress of life and can't ever relax! Like chill the fuck out!" He boomed; I could tell he was angry because he was standing at this point. I took a deep breath as I tried to calm him down.

"I came with you tonight because..."

He came closer to me with every word I spoke. He was so close I was able to feel his hot breath on my face, it reeked of alcohol, something I hated coming home too. He was so close I could barely think about my words, but I was still able to get them out.
