Okay so this one is basically a filler chapter, but it's one of my favorites! It's in a much lighter tone than the last chapter!!
Make sure you read the note at the end with the outfit included in the chapter!
Enjoy!
TW: Use of alcohol included in this chapter.
Eve's POV:
"Eve honey, you have to come out of there and go to work. It's been a week. This can't be healthy." Sam calls out through the door. I push myself off the couch and stare at the bags of chips and soda cans on the coffee table. I roll my eyes and reluctantly open the door. Sam lunges at me and wraps me in a hug, surprising me and almost knocking me down.
"It's so good to see you! Are you okay? Have you eaten? Have you slept?" she says as she brushes through my hair. I end up having to push her off of me. I walk back over to the couch, her following behind me.
"I'm fine Sam, it was just a little break up. No big deal." I tell her, lying to her face. "Well you don't look fine. You've been in those clothes for days, you haven't answered anyone's phone calls. We're all worried about you." she tells me, rubbing my arm sympathetically.
I shake her off. I look at my phone as it rings again, this time it's my sister. My family has been calling me nonstop. Sam must have told them because I didn't. I look at her and she shows a smile showing she's guilty. I rolled my eyes at her and let out a half laugh.
"So hate to point out the elephant in the room, but have you heard from Harry?" she asks me carefully. "He's called, and texted." I tell her, not going into much detail.
"Have you answered?" she pushes. "Nope. I'm not ready to and honestly I don't think he is either. In each voicemail I hear Mitch trying to pry the phone from him." I tell her, letting out a chuckle.
"Eve. Um, Harry called me and wanted me to check up on you. I don't even know how he got my number but he was right about this one. Come on, we are getting you off this couch. We're gonna go have some fun!" she says pulling me off the couch.
She pushes me into my room and towards my closet, picking out a dress that my mom probably wouldn't like. She grabs a pair of heels and throws them on the bed along with my dress. She pauses and looks at me. "Well come on, we gotta get going!" she says clapping her hands together.
"Sam, where are we going? It's 6:00, it's too late to go to work." I tell her, confused. "We are going to go out and have a good time. Trust me!" she says, walking out of the room so that I can get dressed.
I do as I'm told and get dressed, put on a little make up, and do my hair. I have to admit, this is making me feel a little better.
She pushes me out of my apartment and takes me to a place I've never been before. I walk in to see a few people on the dance floor, a few people at the bar, and a group of people at a booth in the corner. We walk close to the booth to find that it's Sarah, Mitch, and Clare. My smile suddenly widens as I see their faces.
Sam and I sit down next to Clare while everyone trains their eyes on me. I already know where this is going and just want to get this over with.
"I'm okay guys, really." I tell them, lying again. "What are you guys even doing here? Aren't you supposed to be in Australia or something?" I asked them, confused.
"Harry is performing on a morning show here, so we decided to drop by and see you guys!" Sarah tells Sam and I.
"Wait, is Harry here in this bar?" I ask them, my voice quivering at the end. "Nope, couldn't get him out of bed. He would rather be alone in his room rather than here at one of his favorite places." Mitch tells me. I feel a wave of guilt wash over me. "Is it because I'm here?" I ask him.
