Lex's Pov

When I got back, Fred wouldn't talk to me. I attempted to talk to him but he just ignored me and stalked off to his room so I fell onto the couch next to George. "He'll get over it", George comforted.

I laid my head on his leg. "Is he mad that I went to see Draco?" I asked. George slowly nodded. "I think he was worried you'd get hurt going over there. Once he realized you were safe, he was mad that you still love Malfoy. It's not that he has feelings for you, it's just that he doesn't want you to be hurt like that again and he feels like he's losing one of his best friends", he said thoughtfully.

Well since that ever so clearly figured it out for me, I hop off the couch and storm up the stairs. Fred doesn't flinch as the door flies open. He's sitting at his desk with his head down. "Come to yell", he says quietly. I don't say anything, but instead wrap my arms around him from behind. "I didn't mean to make you mad, Fred. I just wanted to check up on him. He's my friend, but you have always been there for me. I love you Freddie. Don't forget that".

He spins around and wraps his arms around me. It feels good to know my best friend will always be here for me.

Fred Pov

I look over as Hedwig flies through the window, boasting that she's good as new. Lex grabs the letter off her ankle. She reads it and sighs before throwing it across the room. She comes back over and sits on my bed. "What do you want to do today?" She asks. She's avoiding replying to that letter. I speed across the room and snatch the letter.

"Go see him", I tell her. "What?" She says. "With everything that's happening, you don't know when you're gonna see him again. Go. I promise I'll be more understanding", I tell her softly. She laughs and flies into my arms. "You're amazing", she tells me happily.

"Now go", I nudge her towards the door. She takes the steps two at a time and makes it to the fireplace in record time.

There she goes.

She's crazy.

Draco's Pov

She's smiling as she slips into my room. "That was fast", she murmurs. I open my arms and she falls into them. "I have an idea", I whisper. "Let's go for a swim". She nods and says, "race you down there", before taking off. I hop off the bed and race down, pulling my shirt off along the way and throwing it against the corner of the pool wall. I swoop her up bridal style and jump in.

Her eyes are full of life and happiness. "What've you been doing?" She asks. "The usual. Hiding from Lucius. Avoiding the meetings. Staying in my room and hiding under the covers." She knows the feeling. "All we have to do is stay under the barrier, but we're allowed to roam free. I'm basically the only one that cares enough to get out of the barrier. Did you know that mad eye died?" Her voice drops on the last part.

I can't say I'm particularly sad about that, but I can see where she's coming from.

"Well, he was old anyways", I say indifferently. "I guess", she shrugs. I snap my fingers at the house elf wondering around. I point to the kitchen and it nods. It leaves and comes back with a bottle of wine and chocolate strawberries. "Thank you", I whisper to it. He winks and strolls out. I heave myself out of the pool and lay back. Lex does the same and tosses a strawberry into the air, which I catch.

We do this over and over until the plate is clear. I roll over and kiss her. She tries to fight her smile as I move away. "It got late", she realizes in surprise. "I better go. They'll be worried". I hand her my shirt. "You're soaking wet. Just wear it", I roll my eyes. She takes off her shirt and shorts... and her underwear. And slips the shirt on. She bundles the wet clothes into her hands and kisses me one more time before walking out.

She's crazy, that one. But I'm crazy in love.
