"Good morning, my lady!" Your butler, Luca Balsa, entered your room looking handsome and neat like always. He walked to the window and opened the curtains, letting the sunshine in. Annoyed with the light on your eyes, you turned around and buried your face on your pillow. "It's time to wake up."

"Let me sleep!" You whined, feeling exhausted from an almost sleepless night.

"Your father, the king, wants to see you now." The mention of your father made you stand up immediately. "You better not make him wait too long."

"I know." You ran around your bedroom, picking up a chemise, corset, petticoat, and all the other innumerous things you needed to get dressed and look presentable. "How many minutes are left?"

"Probably fifteen or ten minutes." He said.

"How am I supposed to get dressed in ten minutes?!" You quickly went to your bathroom to brush your teeth, wash your face, and take off your nightgown. When you thought you were doing good getting ready on your own, you remembered the corset. That damn corset.

There was no time to call any maid to help you out, so you only had one choice. You pulled up your petticoat to hide your drawers and timidly walked out the bathroom only to find Luca waiting for you. He turned around when he realized that you weren't fully dressed, facing a wall.

"I need help." You approached him. "Can you lace this up?" You pointed at the corset.

"Is that… appropriate?" He hesitantly questioned.

"It's not appropriate you being alone with me in this room either. If no one knows about it, then it's alright." You showed him your back and put your hair up to get it out of the way. You could hear Luca gulping and let out a small laugh. "You don't need to be so nervous."

"I'm not nervous." He protested. "… I-It just looks difficult." He tried to defend himself.

You felt the corset hugging your waist as it got tighter and tighter until it looked perfect for your body. Luca's finger brushed against your skin during the process, sending shivers down your spine. You hoped he was too focused on the laces to notice how the slightest touches were affecting you.

"I made a pretty good job." He smiled, proud of himself. "Is there anything else you want some help with, my lady?"

"Don't call me 'my lady'. You just need to say that in front of my father."

"I apologize, my lady." He teased, smirking at you.

You ignored and walked to the mirror, adjusting your clothes and brushing your hair.

"Time's up. We have to go." Luca announced.

You knew that you would be given a lecture when the king saw you without makeup walking around the castle, but there was no time to get to that part.
Luca opened the door and you started walking to the dining room as fast as you could. All the layers of restraining clothes didn't help much, but you managed to get there.

"Good morning, father!" You gave him a warm smile, but he didn't even look at your face.

"You are late." His tone was serious, slightly upset.

"I am sorry." You took a seat in front of him while served you breakfast.

"I want to talk to you about an important party we will give." He began and you instantly froze. You had completed eighteen years old on the previous week, so that party only meant one thing. "You are going to get married soon and you will have to choose a man. That being said, I invited your suitors for a party that will happen the next month." You kept your mouth shut while he spoke, knowing well that you didn't have any other choice than accept what he imposed. "I have seen you waltz before and it's terrible, so I will get you someone that can teach you that."
