Looks like someone is back (alive this time).
This is kinda short, but I hope you like it 💕💕.
Sorry for any mistakes.

"Good evening, Mrs.Jones!" You opened the door to the funeral home, but there wasn't anyone in the reception. You figured that the funeral director had gone home already.

You stopped in front of the counter and touched the desk bell. No response. You decided to walk around and see if you could find someone to tell you what to do with the flowers you needed to deliver.
The atmosphere there was as it always was: sad, quiet, and kind of scary. You definitely didn't like how you were in the same place as who knows how many dead bodies. It was like being in a cemetery, but sometimes, if you were unlucky enough, you could see a corpse. That was why you never looked through the windows while you were there, but this time you couldn't ignore them. You needed to see if there was anyone there, and hopefully, you would see only the alive ones.

"Hello…?" You knocked on the doors. Silence.

It seemed that it was just you, the dead bodies, and the ghosts. You sighed, turning around to leave. Then you heard a noise coming from a room you forgot to check. The embalming room.

"… Aesop? Is that you?" You put your head to the door to hear the sound more clearly.

There was someone inside that room and you were certain it was Aesop Carl. You thought that since he was probably doing his job, he would only open that door when he was finished, so you waited for him.

By the time you were almost falling asleep, you heard the door opening. You didn't know how long you have been waiting for.

"(Y/N)?" Aesop looked confused. Seeing you sitting on the ground half-asleep with a bouquet on your hands probably wasn't something he expected to meet.

"Hey, Aesop." You smiled at him. "Where's Mrs.Jones? I need to give her those flowers." You stood up slowly.

"You remember that she canceled her order, right?"

"She did?!"

"Mhm. It looks like her nephew's graduation was rescheduled." You looked down at the flower and sighed.

"I guess Harry forgot to tell me." You giggled awkwardly. "But… it's good that I came here because I got to see you! It's been a long time." You patted his shoulder. You remembered how he used to flinch when you touched him, but it wasn't like that anymore. You were glad that he became more comfortable around you. "Do you want to get some food? I'm starving."

"Sure." You could tell that he had a small smile under his mask.

You decided to order from a restaurant where you were regular customers and agreed to eat it at your place. Aesop wasn't fond of agglomerations.

Aesop had been your friend for some years and you didn't even know how you got a guy like him to speak to you. He was so closed and reserved and didn't talk much. You, on the other hand, were talkative and joyful. You met him because you owned a little flower shop and provided flowers for the funeral home across the street where he worked as an embalmer. One day you went to deliver some flowers and you saw him sitting there, all alone while the other workers were talking and laughing about something. You decided to try to cheer him up and you had success on that. After that day you always met him after work to grab something to eat and you would stay together for a while, enjoying each other's company.

"Do you still use this kind of thing?" Aesop pointed at the dating app notification on your phone.

"Oh." You looked at it. "I can't stay single forever, right?"
