Chapter 16: I Got the Music

Ok, I usually don't do author notes before a chapter starts, but I just want to thank yall for over 2000 reads on this story! it actually means a lot to me even though 2k isn't a lot for a story.

Ash's POV* 

The school bell rang as Julie and I walked into school, ready to sing and dance.

[Ash] 
Ain't gonna fight it cause it's useless. 
I can't get this music out of my head. 
It's like the beat is taking over. 
Weight off of my shoulders, dancing instead. 
And something's feeling different in the hallways,
somethings looking, looking like it's changed. 
I've been moving to the rhythm for the whole day,
a million lyrics running through my brain

[Everyone] 
Everybody here we go,
this thing is unstoppable. 
Haven't felt this in a minute,
it's incredible

Julie and I leaned against the lockers right when Nick and Ethan closed them, looking at the two of us, smirking; Nick's wearing a white suit and Ethan's wearing a black suit.

[Ash & Julie] 
I got the music back inside of me,
every melody and chord. 
Can't stop the music,
back inside my soul, 
and it's stronger than before

Julie and I then walked inside the music room and I went to the drums, playing them to the beat.

I got the music, it won't let me go.

[Julie] 
Don't care if everybody's watchin'. 
Silence ain't an option, it's out of my hands. 
I feel the beat taking me higher.

And something's feeling different in the hallways,

Julie and I then led the marching band and Mrs. Harrison out of the music room as we all walked down the stairs. 

[Ash & Julie]

Julie and I were both dressed in the blue bobcat headdress; we were standing on top of a cart being pushed by the janitor as I used two trash cans on it as drums, playing to the beat.

[Ash] 
I got the music, it won't let me go.

The janitor then started to dance for a second before pushing the cart again.

[Julie]

I got the music back inside of me.

Julie and I then took off our bobcat headdresses as Flynn burst through the doors, rapping.

[Flynn] 
Yeah, we got the music back inside,
let's do this. Back like it's exclusive,
