Chapter 3: Unexpected Reunion

"Master."

Mr. Jeon took a quick sip of his coffee before humming briefly, and he glanced up in front of him at the young man who had just bowed to him. "What's wrong?"

"Sorry, but I just got a call from Mr. Kang."

He nodded to him, "And?"

"He said he couldn't make it here on time. His daughter is nowhere to be seen, and he asked to extend the meeting time to 2 pm. Is it all right for you?"

"Hmm, really?" Mr. Jeon softly cleared his throat, "What's the time right now?"

"It's 12.15 PM."

"Hmm. Of course, let me finish my coffee then take me to the hospital. I'm going to see my wife."

"Okay, Master."

"You said the meeting will be at 12, but where is Director Yang?" Mr. Park asked impatiently when he had been waiting for the man who had kicked off his patience to turn up for almost 45 minutes now.

Doyoung lowered his head and looked at his wristwatch, "I don't know either. He said he'll be here before noon. So unprofessional." he complained as he felt a little irritated and he took his phone out of his pocket before letting out a long heavy sigh, "Mr. Park, I'll give him a call and I'll cancel the schedule if he can't make it before 12:30 pm."

Mr. Park nodded lowly while huffing. "Okay. Make it to 12:20 PM"

The young man nodded, "Alright."

Mr. Park drank his juice with a tight face, and it was a stressful shit to him that he hated waiting, and having to deal with someone like Director Yang had really pissed him off. He put the glass down on its little holder and got up from his seat as he decided to go to the toilet. He walked straight to the exit without jerking his head on the other side beside the front, and when he heard someone just calling for his name, his steps were abruptly cut off sharply.

"Pil-Woo-ah! Right here."

He turned around following the voice of the man to see who the guy was and, to his surprise, his pair of eyebrows raised in surprise to get to see his long lost friend in such a place. "Hyung?"

"Wait, what are you doing here?" asked Mr. Jeon happily. He just got up from his seat and walked towards the guy to have a handshake. "I was about to go, I didn't expect to see you here."

Before letting out a little groan, Mr. Park chuckled, "I'm waiting for Director Yang to have a meeting. I can't believe this guy, what took him so long to arrive," he said in a tone of hatred.

"C'mon, spare me a while. We haven't met for a long time."

"Ah, sure. I see no problem at all, so why not?"

They both laughed and strolled over to Mr. Jeon's table together, and the young man who was the assistant to Mr. Jeon stared at the Master while his face was already painted with a little confusion.

"Master?"

"Oh, Youngbae-ah. Right now, I'm going to talk to Mr. Park. I'm going to see my wife after meeting the family of Director Kang."

"Okay, Master. Call me if you need anything." Before heading to the exit, Youngbae bowed politely to the old men.

"Director Kang?" asked Mr. Park, "Who is he?"

"PilWoo-ah, do you know how stressed I am? In the previous project that took place in Paris a year ago, Director Kang was my partner and I made a mistake back then," he said, giving away a bitter laugh while recalling the past.

"What mistake? C'mon hyung, you're not a mistake-maker."

"Yah, I'm also just a human. But I didn't really expect things to go this way. I figured he was going to stop bothering me, his daughter was going to stop bothering my grandson, but no. I never realized that his family was such a pain in the ass."

Mr. Park broke into a quick laugh, realizing that Mr. Jeon hadn't even changed, the man was still looking the same as years ago. He laughed, feeling a light tickle on the inside. "You haven't changed, Hyung."

"Yah, that's not what it is. He wants me to marry his daughter to Jungkook. Is he out of his mind?"

"Huh? For real?"

"I know he'll bring up about this again later," Mr. Jeon nodded. "This gives me a headache seriously."

"What are you going to do then?"

"I'm planning to tell him that Jungkook is about to get engaged with someone that I'm going to pick randomly from the company."

"Wait, now... Is he getting engaged?"

"It's just a lie, paboya. I just want them to stop begging me like I don't have time to do other things besides giving them my ears to have to listen to them praising their daughter."

"It looks like you really hate them."

"It's not hate, I just dislike them."

"Isn't that the same thing?" Mr. Park chuckled, "I thought Jungkook is really going to get engaged. It would be great for him to have someone taking care of him later while I'm right here still concerned about my youngest son."

"You mean, Namjoon?"

"No, it's Jimin."

Mr. Jeon gasped in surprise, "You've got another son? Wait, the last time we met, Namjoon was the youngest, right?"

Mr. Park nodded with a heavy sigh. It made him feel a heavyweight on the top of his head by just thinking about his only troubled son. "This is the biggest explanation of why I lost so much hair because of stress."

Now, it was Mr. Jeon's turn to laugh at the younger ones, "Why? What did he do?"

"Hyung, if you stay at my place, you'll only get to see his face twice a month. He's never been around while I'm around. He's too social, which makes me worried about him."

"Anyway, how old is he?"

"Around 24."

"Ah, really? Then what concerns you so much? He's old enough to worry about what's good and what's bad for him."

"That is the problem. He can't even think about what he should do if he loses his phone. You get what I'm saying, right?"

"Well, It looks like he needs someone to look after him I guess?" Mr. Jeon chuckled.

"That's right. I know that you will understand me."

"Wah, he's so different from my grandson. Jungkook is a kind of workaholic and asocial. I rarely see him going out at night or hanging out with anyone. Sometimes that scares me. He should have a friend to hang out with at his age."

Mr. Park sighed, "I would be so happy if Jimin could be like him. It makes me feel like I want to lock him in one place with Jungkook so that he can learn how to be less sociable and at the same time, Jungkook can learn from Jimin how to be a little sociable. It would be nice, wouldn't it?" Mr. Park murmured before drinking the juice that he had taken from his place with him. "What am I talking nonsense..."

"Wait, that's right."

"What?"

"The thought of them helping each other out. I also think it would be great if we gave it a shot."

"Hang on, Hyung. Are you serious?"

"If we don't give it a try, we'll never know, PilWoo-ah."

"Then, are we going to do it?"

"Let's take them out tomorrow for dinner. How about that? We can discuss it later on."

Finally, Mr. Park beams from ear to ear, "Sounds good to me. All right, let's see. I'm going to do my hardest to take that brat with me."
