Chapter 10: The Beginning of Jikook

Being someone well-known by many people must be amazing to experience, wherever you go people will pay respect whenever they saw your face or heard your name; must be having a good life then. Most people are desperate to have this kind of life, thirsty for power, wealth and fame. However, for Jeon Jungkook, it wasn't so much pleasure for him to go through this kind of life because of his personality which is; he doesn't like the attention that comes from the people around him.

Everyone knows him as a tight-lipped person, he will only use his energy to talk when people come to him to discuss about work or something which is only that important to talk about. But anything other than work, sorry you'll never get to hear his voice unless he was the one who wants to talk to you. That will be otherwise.

On that morning Jungkook, being a punctual guy as usual has arrived at the company sharp at the time where he was supposed to arrive. As soon as he stepped down from his car and passed the key to the worker there, he already can feel the tenses that were pressing on him with glances and whispers from the employers there. Nowadays, almost everyone in the company was having fun to have his name as their daily topic to gossip about and it was no other than about the scandal between him and Kang Hana.

It wasn't like as if no one has asked him about it but again, Jungkook didn't bother to care and let alone the scandal died down by itself. He went to the elevator and waited for the doors to open, staring at the blurry reflection of him standing lazily that he got to see in front of him.

And unfortunately, he couldn't get to have his self-moment before reaching the meeting room as his eyes had caught someone's reflection walking behind him and without having to turn around, he knew it so well who could it be.

With the heels killing the floor, the hair was short at the shoulder's level and the way the person walks, it was no other than Kang Hana; someone who will never lose in making Jungkook feel uncomfortable just with her presents.

"Oh, good morning Jeon!" greeted Kang Hana, trying to sound like she didn't expect to bump into each other, probably had no idea that Jungkook had already seen her with the help of the reflection.

Jungkook pretended like he didn't hear anything, even though the girl has already stood beside him, looking up to him as waiting for the reaction but, of course, Jungkook remained calm like a stone. He stood there eyeing the number of the elevator coming down to reach the ground floor while having his straight face, didn't bother to move his gazes towards her way.

"Good luck with your presentation today!" again, she tried to have a conversation with the man but just like before, she was being ignored by Jungkook once again as the man quickly entered the elevator once the door moved to give him a way to step in.

Hana pouted, "Jeon, I'm talking."

Jungkook only hummed and was actually struggling with holding himself from yawning since he was still feeling a little drowsy. But he started to have his feature switched into an annoyed look when Hana went closer to him and encircled her arms around his, began to act needy for attention.

"Who's Merina?" she suddenly asked, receiving a confused look from Jungkook.

"I don't know."

Hana smirked before giggling short, looking at Jungkook and was grinning widely, "I knew it. Your grandpa lied to my family about you getting engaged with someone named Merina. I know it was only another white lie."

Jungkook's tongue got screwed up and down, he felt so irritated that he thought it would be the best if he pretends like he knows who is Merina. He had totally forgotten about the plan since after the chaos in his mind thinking about moving out from his place to live with a man that he barely knows.
