Klaus stood at the door to Alaric's apartment, Maddox on the other side as Wolfgang approached the residence. Katherine stood in the kitchen, making coffee as the Nachtstern crossed the threshold into Alaric's apartment, standing beside his friend.

"I'll be back as soon as I can," Maddox assured the Original and Klaus nodded, pacing around the apartment. Wolfgang rolled his eyes, watching the Mikaelson curiously. "Yes, do hurry. I'm anxious to get out of this body," Klaus said, "And if you get hung up, call me. You know how impatient I get." Maddox turned around, leaving and Klaus closed the door as he turned around, looking around the apartment. Katherine walked out of the kitchen, holding two mugs, holding them out to Klaus and Wolfgang. Klaus took the mug of coffee from her, sipping it quietly.

"Where is he going?" Katherine asked, holding the mug out to Wolfgang more stubbornly. The Nachtstern took it reluctantly, taking a sip of the warm liquid within. The tea was warm and bitter, sweetened only by the small amount of honey added to it. Exactly how he preferred it. Klaus smiled at her question. "To retrieve me. So I can get out of this bad hair-do."

"Are you sure that's a good idea, Klaus?" Katherine asked warily. The Original smiled, nodding his head as Wolfgang took a seat, "Well, the full moon is almost upon us." Klaus placed the moonstone down on the table, "I've killed the witch, I have the moonstone, and the doppelganger is waiting in the wings. Oh, I am ready to break this curse."

"And why would you do that here?" The Petrova asked, confused, "There's so many people that would try to stop you."

"Because he has to. It's the birthplace of the doppelganger." Wolfgang explained before taking another sip of his tea, thinking back to his conversation with Jayde. Katherine frowned, glancing at him as their eyes connected briefly. Unlike the previous two times their gazes had met, the doppelganger didn't look away but instead held eye contact. "I didn't realize that was a requirement."

"Well, how could you?" Klaus asked with the sadistic smile Wolfgang found to be quite attractive. "You betrayed me and fled England before I could give you the details, Katerina." Klaus looked as though he was thinking before the smile contorted into his familiar lopsided grin, "But I did find your birthplace and I slaughtered your family. So I guess we're cool."

"Let's just hope that Miss Gilbert isn't as foolish as you were, sweetheart," Wolfgang added, placing his empty mug down on the table. The Petrova shook her head, settling down beside him as though Wolfgang hadn't threatened to kill her multiple times. "She won't run. She'll die before she lets anyone that she loves get hurt."

"And that's exactly what I'm counting on," Klaus replied, looking between them warily. He had never approved of their relationship and right now, the two were a bit too close for comfort. The Mikaelson leaned forward and compelled her, "You can't leave until I tell you to."

Klaus looked satisfied before he turned around, pulling his jacket on and walking out. The door closed with a slam as Wolfgang stood to his feet, walking towards a bottle of whiskey on the kitchen counter. He would have to clean the place later seeing as Klaus was still too messy for the Nachtstern's military standards of tidyness.

"What's wrong, Wolf? Can't meet my eyes?" Katherine questioned. Wolfgang turned around, the bottle of whiskey in his hand as his hazel eyes met hers. The Nachtstern ignored the nickname, stepping closer to the Petrova as she stood her ground. Wolfgang's lips curved up in a smile at her defiance. Clearly, Katherine had gotten bored of being scared of him, it seemed.
