Wolfgang felt the drops of blood as they hit his lips. The Nachtstern tried painfully to open his mouth, his dry tongue reaching out to lick the blood. Wolfgang took the blood into his mouth, letting the sanguine flood his senses. The hunter forced himself to swallow the blood. As he finally managed to open his mouth, more blood poured into him until he had enough blood in his system to regain enough control over his own body to move. Wolfgang's hands came up, holding the body closer to him as he fed, taking more blood into his body as he gulped it down hungrily.
Wolfgang pulled away, letting the corpse fall away as he sat up, his hazel eyes looking around for whoever had fed him and saved him from the desiccation that being staked induced. The Nachtstern rose to his feet as he noticed a pretty brunette woman sitting on a headstone, her arms crossed as she regarded him with warm brown eyes.
"About time you woke up, Wolf." She said, standing up as Wolfgang ran a hand through his dark hair, his lips curving upwards into a lazy smile. The Nachtstern moved forward, embracing the brunette tightly as he nestled his head into the crook of her neck, "Charlie."
"Did you miss me, brother?" Charlotte asked as she pulled out of the hug. Wolfgang smiled, this time it reached his eyes as he looked at his adoptive sister with pure joy. Charlotte had the rare ability to make Wolfgang happy. "Where's Mikael?" Wolfgang asked, looking around for the Original. Charlotte shrugged, her dark eyes casting over the graveyard as she fidgeted with her daylight ring nervously. Wolfgang smiled, sometimes the two of them were very alike.
"He's gone," Charlotte replied, turning her gaze back to Wolfgang. The Nachtstern vampire nodded, meeting her gaze. Charlotte's eyes, despite being the same colour, were so unlike his. Wolfgang's irises were like deep, immovable glaciers in their icy nature. Charlotte's was warmer, more gentle. Charlotte's eyes were the calm water lapping at your feet on a beach, his was the full wrath of an arctic storm.
"I'll have to find him," Wolfgang said with a sigh before he ran a hand through his dark hair. Wolfgang offered his arm to Charlotte and she interlinked hers with his, letting her brother guide her back to the entry to the cemetery. "Sister dear, how have you been?" Wolfgang questioned. The brunette nodded, her lips tilting into a smile as she glanced at her adoptive brother, "I'm good. David's good too."
"Ah yes, your boyfriend." Wolfgang said, opening the door of his car for Charlotte before walking back to the driver's seat, "Remind me why I haven't violently disembowled him yet."
"Well, he said that it was because you actually liked him. That and you haven't seen him in nearly ten years." Charlotte replied and Wolfgang nodded as he sat down in the car, reaching into his pocket for his keys. Wolfgang pulled them out, inserting them into the ignition before turning the engine on.
"I will have to rectify that," Wolfgang answered, putting the car into gear as he pulled out of the parking lot. The Nachtstern began to drive a lot faster than usual, his speed almost reckless if it wasn't for the calm aura of control that radiated from him. Charlotte held up Wolfgang's phone as it rang, holding it up to her brother so that he could read the caller ID. The hunter sighed, gesturing for Charlotte to answer it.
"Wolf." A familiar voice greeted fondly. The Nachtstern frowned, listening to the background noise. Was Klaus in a nightclub when he should be making hybrids? "Listen, mate, I need you in New York ASAP." The Original Hybrid demanded and Wolfgang nodded, "I'll be there as soon as I can, Nik."
"He calls and you answer?" Charlotte asked, looking at her brother questioningly, "I don't remember you being that easy."
"Things are complicated," Wolfgang replied, glancing at his sister as he brought the Aston Martin to a stop. Charlotte met his gaze, shaking her head as her brown eyes seemed to bore into him, "Then uncomplicate things."
