As the hard shafts of sunlight filtered through the window, falling upon her face and warming her features, Bonnie Bennett let out a groan, screwing her eyes shut against the light. Sunlight meant it was daytime and daytime meant she had to wake up. Wake up and face what had happened the night before. Bonnie cracked open an eye as a man chuckled, his deep voice wrapping over her like smooth velvet.
Wolfgang Nachtstern was a sight to behold. If you removed his shirt, then he was more like a sculpted masterpiece than a living, breathing man. Or, you know, an undead, bloodsucking vampire. The Superior Original was looking down at Bonnie from beside the bed, his dark hair falling over his eyes as his intense hazel irises gazed at her from beneath the curtain of dripping hair.
"Rise and shine, sweetheart," Wolfgang said, running a hand through his wet hair, moving it out of the way so that he could see better. Bonnie nodded in response, still shackled by the remaining vestiges of sleep as her emerald eyes followed him as he turned around, his back to her.
The Nachtstern star was tattooed on Wolfgang's right shoulder blade in black ink, taking up a large portion of the skin. But the shocking part was the painting of soft pink scars that marred the pale skin of his back, a portrait of suffering and hate. Some seemed to be from deep cuts and where the skin had been sewn back together after an injury. However, most seemed to be longer, asymmetrical but serving the same purpose. They were the remnants of the long gashes that could only have been inflicted by a whip.
Bonnie's wandering gaze was removed as a green shirt was pulled over his body, the Nachtstern working to button it up as the Bennett got out of bed, suddenly aware of how naked she was. Wolfgang walked to the wardrobe on the other side of the room and Bonnie took the opportunity to slip past him and grab her dress.
The hunter turned around silently, doing up the buttons on his waistcoat as he watched Bonnie slip into her dress, collecting her heels in her hands before she turned around and collided with his chest, not expecting him to be there. The Nachtstern's hands shot out and held her sides to steady her. Wolfgang looked down at the Bennett witch as his eyes narrowed at her.
"Going somewhere, Bonnie?" Wolfgang questioned, letting go of her as he did the buttons on his shirt cuffs, a single eyebrow lifted as she nodded, neatening her appearance as she walked past him, her head high, "I'm going home."
Wolfgang's lips parted as though he wanted to say something before he clamped them together, thinking better of it. Instead, Wolfgang opened the door to the room, holding it as Bonnie walked out of it and into the hallway.
"Would you at least allow me to escort you to the door?" Wolfgang asked and Bonnie paused for a moment, contemplating before she nodded, waiting at the top of the stairs for him. The Nachtstern frowned as he noticed Elijah slip into Esther's study before he shook his head, walking towards Bonnie and escorting her down the stairs.
The Superior Original guided her through the foyer, weaving through the servants tidying up and cleaning as he walked to the front door, opening it for her as Bonnie continued through it without another word. Wolfgang remained in the same spot, watching Bonnie walk away before he turned from the front door, walking into the living room, where Kol and Klaus were. Klaus was on a couch sketching, looking up as Wolfgang walked in.
"Wolfgang, has the thought of being quiet while having sex ever occurred to you?" The hybrid asked, his pink lips twisted into a frown. The Nachtstern shook his head, crossing his arms as he regarded Klaus, "You're just jealous that all of your flattery towards Miss Forbes culminated in nothing."
