Applause filled the room as the Bellas left the stage. This was one of those performances where you could just tell you blew the other competitors away.
Beca grabbed Chloe's wrist as the girls exited the stage, pulling her into a corner and pushing her up against a wall. The two shared a love filled, not aggressive in the slightest bit, it was purely celebratory. This was one of the few times they had kissed and managed to keep their clothes on in the minutes following.
Aubrey was by far the happiest person on the bus ride back to Barden though. She finally got her redemption from last year, and now she was just cuddled up with Stacie, the two exchanging loving glances throughout the entire ride.
Chloe noticed that Beca's happiness seemed short lived though, as she didn't really say much during the drive, electing to just rest her head on the redhead's shoulder, a downcast look on her face.Chloe assumed that she was just sad that the season was over, and wrapped her arms around Beca, comforting her for most of the trip.
Once they arrived, Chloe gently woke up Beca, and the girls all exited the bus together, exchanging a soft, warm group hug before parting ways, well aware that they would all be hanging out together again the next day. But still, they all felt a little bit sad for the end of the Bellas for the year.
As the girls finally parted ways, noticed Chloe heading back to her apartment by herself. Beca remembered she promised herself to talk to her about graduation and their future, so she slipped off her heels and ran after Chloe, burying herself in the back of the redhead's shoulder, nearly knocking her over.
"Oh! Hi there!?" Chloe said in surprise, clearly happy to see Beca.
Beca stayed attached to Chloe, refusing to let go until Chloe turned herself fully around to embrace the brunette.
"What's wrong, baby?" Chloe asked in a soft tone, cupping her face to bring it towards hers, and wiping a tear off Beca's cheek with her thumb.
"Um... can we go back to your place? I... I wanted to talk about... something." Beca said, pulling Chloe in even tighter now.
The two walked to Chloe's apartment together, Chloe's arm draped around Beca's shoulder and squeezing with a comfortable tightness. She unlocked her door and they sat down on Chloe's bed, Beca putting her head down on Chloe's lap while the redhead stroked her soft, brown hair.
"So what's going on?" Chloe asked once Beca seemed ready to talk.
"Um... so... I was just thinking a while ago and... and I realized that y-you're a senior. And you'll be graduating soon. And I guess I'm just afraid that... well... there's probably a chance that we will never see each other again. And I don't think that I'll ever be happy without you." Beca managed to choke out, tears welling up in her eyes.
Chloe sat in silence for a minute, still stroking Beca's head, comforting her while she thought about how to respond.
"Hey... it's ok. I know it doesn't seem like it but... I'm afraid too. To move on. To graduate. But... most importantly... to go on in my life without you by my side." Chloe said in probably the softest tone that the bubbly ginger could manage.
"But we're going to be ok. I promise. We can find something that will work for the both of us." Chloe continued with a sniffle.
"Ok... we're going to be ok." Beca said, wiping tears from her eye. "We're going to be ok."
She managed to sit up, and she just stared into Chloe's amazingly beautiful blue eyes, completely lost. Chloe returned the gaze, a slight reassuring, friendly smile creeping up on her lips as she looked deep into Beca's eyes, which for some reason were getting significantly darker.
