Chapter 13: New Blood

The tall brunette stepped out of her car and looked around, taking in the scene, the massive campus, the thousands of people all doing their own things, completely oblivious of her.

"Mom, I'm gonna be late. Its orientation day. You have to let me go." Emily said, embracing her mother in a warm goodbye hug.

"I know, I just can't do it. My only daughter is leaving the nest."

"Mom..." Emily said when she still hadn't let her go from her arms.

"Ok, I'll let you go. Just promise you'll call."

The two exchanged one last hug before Emily finally broke free, and she headed off to the auditorium for a performance by the Treblemakers for the incoming freshmen.

A knock on the door caused Amy to spring up off the couch, as she ran over to the front door.

"Hi! I'm Emily. I was looking for you guys at auditions but you weren't there. I was hoping for the chance to sing for you."

"Sorry we are not allowed to take anybody else new." Amy said and went to close the door, but Emily caught it before it shut.

"Wait! I'm a legacy. I'm a Junk!" Emily called, drawing the attention of Cynthia who let her in.

Emily soon stood in front of the Bellas, well everyone except Beca, who was at her internship.

Chloe was the one to finally break the awkward silence. "Hi!" She said in her bubbly Chloe voice with a smile, "What's your name?"

Emily gave a small wave and a smile back. "I'm Emily. Junk... I'm a legacy." Emily said to the mass of confused faces. "My mother was a Bella."

"Your mother was Katherine Junk???" Chloe said in awe. Emily just nodded in response. "So, we are not allowed to hold auditions because of, yaknow, the whole thing with Amy." Chloe continued, "But if you're a legacy... I bet we can find a loophole."

She decided to sing an original song that she had been writing, and the Bellas all agreed that she was definitely good enough to sing with them.

"Welcome to the Bellas!" Chloe said excitedly.

"O- M- Aca Geee!" Emily screamed and began to dance around awkwardly, but was quickly stopped by Cynthia.

"Alright girls, it's party time!" Yelled an excited Chloe, and the rest of the Bellas followed her out.

"Hey guys!" Beca called out to Jesse and Chloe, running over to them and kissing Chloe.

"Becs! I missed you!" Exclaimed Chloe excitedly.

"Chlo... It hasn't even been one day." Beca squeaked out from a tight warm hug.

"I still missed you." Chloe reasoned, pecking Beca once more on the cheek before setting the brunette down on top of herself. Beca curled up in Chloe's lap, realizing that she missed the quirky redhead too.

"So... How was the internship? Jesse asked once he realized Beca wasn't planning on talking much.

"Eye-opening... yea they do not mess around." Beca said, readjusting herself in Chloe's lap to face Jesse.

"Hey. who's that?" Beca asked, pointing to Emily who was on the other side of the pool talking to a boy.

"Thats Benji, Becs. You know him." Jesse said with a confused tone.

"No, you idiot, the brunette. I've never seen her before... she's really pretty." Beca said, still staring.

Chloe jabbed her in the side, making her squeal. "Becs, you're dating someone so you can't drool over other girls." Chloe scolded playfully. "That's Emily. She's a new Bella. She auditioned today when you were at work."

"Get her over here." Beca requested, but then realized Chloe couldn't really get out of her seat.

"Legacy!" Chloe yelled out, waving at the taller brunette and getting her attention. "Someone wants to meet you."

"Hi! I'm-" Beca started, but was cut off by an overly excited Emily.

"Oh my God! You're Beca Mitchell!" Emily exclaimed.

"Yea that's me." Beca said. She still doesn't really enjoy all the attention she gets from people now recognizing her in places outside of her friend group."So, you're a Bella. Are you ready to go to worlds?"

"Yea! I can't wait to sing with you guys!"

"You know she writes her own songs." Chloe said. "She sang one for us for her audition."

"Really? Maybe you could help me with the arrangements? Chloe is always useless and I need help." Beca said jokingly, earring another jab in the ribs from her girlfriend.

"Oh FUCK shit oh GOD!" Aubrey moaned out as she came into Stacie's mouth and all over her fingers.

Stacie settled down next to Aubrey on the couch who was panting heavily, and she rolled the blonde over and pressed her own front into the older girl's back, cuddling her.

Aubrey rolled over to face the brunette, smiling at her. "I'm so glad that we're still doing this." Aubrey murmured, running her hand through Stacie's long brown hair.

"It's really perfect, isn't it. Like this job is perfect for you. And on top of that, we get to fuck in the middle of the woods in a log cabin every weekend." Stacie said, pulling Aubrey in tight and letting her bury her head in her brown hair.

"You should come back to Barden for a few days with me. You can stay in my dorm cuz my roommate is studying in England." Stacie said after a long pause. "It would be nice, you could see Chloe again, and we could do it in person instead of over FaceTime."

"You're making it sound so nice... and I really do miss those girls, especially Beca and Chloe."

"So you'll come back with me?"

"Yes. Yes! I will!" Aubrey said excitedly, sitting up and reaching for her underwear that had somehow managed to hang itself from the ceiling fan.

"Yay! I love you Bree!" Stacie exclaimed, wrapping Aubrey in a huge hug. "I promise you won't regret it."

After Aubrey left college, she went to work at the lodge of fallen leaves, where she got to boss people around for a job, and live in the forest in peace. She was seeing Stacie at the time she graduated, but then it was more of a pure sex relationship than anythinge else. Stacie and Aubrey decided to keep seeing each other, and the both of them realized that they were developing actual feelings for each other.
